Questo è il percorso utilizzato dal Team Bike Valconca per l'Adriatic Coast del 2007 (circuito di pedalate ecologice non competitive).NDR scarico questa descrizione come guida per percorrere il tracciato da un esperto conoscitore del luogo apenseri. Che ringrazio e che mi piacerebbe incontrare. In fondo il link dei suoi percorsi.Il percorso parte dal paese di Mercatino Conca (PU), convenzionalmente dalla piazza del comune ma qualsiasi punto del piccolo paese è equivalente.Ci si dirige lungo la via principale del paese (via Roma) verso monte, ci si lascia il paese alle spalle e, dopo circa due km. si svolta a sinistra abbandonando la strada asfaltata: la svolta si trova in località Ornaccia esattamente al km. 7 della SP n°2, dopo un rettilineo di circa 400 mt, poco prima di alcune case; ci si dirige verso il fondo valle che si raggiunge presto, arrivati ad un quadrivio (sulla sinistra scorgete un vecchio mulino, svoltate a destra ed affrontate un breve strappo in salita, raggiunta la asfaltata la seguite verso sinistra, al bivio successivo svolterete a destra in direzione Ca' Secco, raggiunto il borgo, vi entrate svoltando a destra e dopo una curva a sinistra svoltate di nuovo a destra, apparentemente nell'aia di una casa colonica, poche decine di metri e dovrete svoltare ancora a destra innestandovi su una carraia che seguirete in discesa. Arriverete dopo un bel tratto tra i campi, di nuovo al fondo valle, vi inserirete lungo il letto del fiume Conca, svoltate a sinistra passando sotto la prima arcata del ponte, cercherete il guado più comodo e vi dirigerete verso la fattoria al di là del fiume (nelle stagioni in cui il guado non fosse transitabile, salite sopra il ponte, attraversatelo e svoltate alla prima a sinistra), appena raggiunto un ampio piazzale, senza raggiungere le case, svoltate lungo la carraia a sinistra che seguirete fino a dover svoltare a sinistra per affrontare il guado di un piccolo ruscello (il fiume Conca rimarrà sempre sulla vostra sinistra) dopo poche decine di metri svoltate a sinistra costeggiando un recinto per animali (un pastore maremmano probabilmente vi accompagnerà abbaiando, non temete: è ben chiuso dentro il recinto), una volta finito il recinto svoltate a destra, mantenendo il sentiero principale arriverete ad un un nuovo guado del fiume Conca: a differenza del primo, questo non è evitabile con un ponte, d'altra parte è quasi sempre percorribile.Oltrepassato il fiume, tenendo la destra, iniziate la prima importante salita, non costante ma con alcuni impegnativi tratti, al successivo incrocio tenete la destra e da qui sarà sufficiente seguire la carraia che appare essere la principale. Terminerete l'ascesa quando, in cima ad un campo vedrete un'abitazione ristrutturata (non i ruderi che avete incontrato poco prima), la riconoscerete perchè recintata e perchè poco dietro scorre la strada provinciale del passo della Faggiola (vedete sulla destra l'omonimo monte); dopo avere costeggiato, verso sinistra, la recinzione, svolterete a sinistra su una carraia in pianura, dopo circa cento metri svoltate a sinistra e poco dopo a destra: la strada si fa più ampia e battuta; dopo un tratto in piano la strada svolta verso destra: in questo punto dovrete girare a sinistra entrando in un piccolo bosco, seguite la strada finchè dopo un tratto in discesa svolterete di 90° a destra, immediatamente dopo la casa svoltate a sinistra lungo la brecciata e la seguite per quasi un km. arriverete ad un quadrivio, la brecciata sale bruscamente ma voi svolterete a destra, seguendo una bella carraia, senza possibilità di errore arriverete ad una piccola strada asfaltata che seguirete verso destra.A questo punto dovete seguire la strada principale fino ad un incrocio in cui terrete la sinistra, iniziando ua salita abbastanza impegnativa, sempre su asfaltata; una volta raggiunta la sommità svolterete a destra, entrando in un campo coltivato, svoltate immediatamente a sinistra verso la pineta e dovreste individuare un sentiero che vi si inoltra, dopo poco il sentiero si immetterà in una strada più ampia, sempre nella pineta, seguitela verso destra, ignorate la prima svolta a sinistra, prendete a sinistra alla seconda, in discesa, una volta raggiunto il piano svoltate ancora a sinistra in un sentiero non particolarmente evidente e seguitelo finchè non vi porterà ad uscire dalla pineta ed a raggiungere la strada asfaltata (attenti al filo spinato).Svoltate a destra, al primo incrocio proseguite dritto, al secondo svoltate a destra, seguite la stretta asfaltata nei leggeri saliscendi, una volta raggiunto un incrocio svoltate leggermente a sinistra e poi subito a destra, mantenendo più o meno l’orientamento precedente, seguite la carraia che scende, al primo incrocio svoltate a destra continuando a scendere, dopo il primo tratto un po’ accidentato troverete un ottimo fondo e potrete lasciar correre la bici; quando la carraia svolterà a destra voi girerete a sinistra nel campo dove il sentiero è talvolta appena accennato, inizierete a salire e seguirete la strada in mezzo ai campi fino a scorgere un rudere: lo oltrepasserete e svolterete subito dopo a sinistra, appena dopo raggiungerete il crinale che seguirete verso destra.Alla prima svolta andrete a destra iniziando una bellissima discesa con alcuni tratti veramente veloci (attenti però, in alcuni periodi dell’anno si formano profondi solchi, in altri invece il terreno diventa sabbioso). Seguite sempre quello che appare il sentiero principale, fino ad arrivare ad un piccolo borgo (Bronzo), prima di finire la carraia un bel salto che potete affrontare con tranquillità, subito dopo però attaccatevi ai freni perché dovere attraversare una strada asfaltata. Rientrati nello sterrato, costeggiate un recinto per animali, svoltate a sinistra, in ripida ma breve discesa, andate a cercare il guado verso sinistra e oltrepassatelo, dopo circa duecento metri inizia la TERRIBILE Costarètta, un tratto di circa 250 mt. Dalle pendenze terribili (30/35%? boh!). Inserite il rapporto più agile e tentate di scalarlo senza poggiare il piede a terra, sicuramente una bella sfida contro voi stessi e contro chi vi accompagna, finito il tratto ripido prendete fiato, entrate nel recinto della fattoria ed uscitene tenendo la sinistra, altri strappi vi attendono, mai però ripidi come il precedente. Una volta raggiunto il crinale svoltate a destra, poi ancora a destra, al terzo incrocio a sinistra ed al quarto a destra. Per evitare di sbagliare, cercate verso NORD un campanile in cima ad una collina: Montealtavelio, lo dovrete raggiungere. Gli strappi si intervallano con tratti in pianura utili a riprendere fiato, raggiungete una strada asfaltata e seguitela girando a sinistra. Dopo la curva verso destra, si stacca un sentiero a sinistra, se volete potete seguirlo e raggiungerete, anche in questo caso Montealtavelio, il fondo però è molto rovinato e la pendenza impegnativa: rischierete di farne alcuni tratti a piedi. Il percorso ufficiale prosegue lungo l’asfaltata fino ad un incrocio, a sinistra andrete a Montealtavelio per l’ultima discesa della giornata, a destra ripiegherete verso Mercatino Conca per un rientro sicuramente meno 'onorevole' ma decisamente più tranquillo.Se avete svoltato a sinistra, dopo meno di un chilometro raggiungerete una piazzetta in piano con quattro strade, seguite quella centrale, arriverete all’aia di una casa colonica e dovreste intravedere tra gli alberi un sentiero che scende ripidamente, lo imboccherete ed entrerete in una bellissima carraia in mezzo al bosco, una volta terminata ci sarà un breve tratto di asfalto: la discesa che vi aspetta andando a sinistra è molto tecnica, per evitarla andate a destra e troverete la comoda provinciale fino a Mercatino Conca; avendo optato per svoltare a sinistra, dovrete girare a destra non appena oltrepassata la prima casa: la carraia che imboccherete appare in un primo momento comoda, entrarà poi in un bosco dove non sempre troverete un tracciato ampio (spesso l’invasione dei rovi diventa problematica) inizia qui la parte più tecnica che culminerà in un tratto in discesa davvero ripida, spesso disturbata da rami, rovi e pietre mosse: non vergognatevi a scendere di sella. Questo tratto, seppur impegnativo, finisce presto (avete appena percorso i mitici “Scheggi”) seguite con più tranquillità la restante parte di discesa, fino ad inserirvi in una strada aperta al traffico, lasciatevi trasportare dall’abbrivio e vedrete a destra un comodissimo ponte in legno, lo oltrepasserete e seguendo la breve ciclabile brecciata arriverete immediatamente a ridosso del centro di Mercatino Conca, punto della vostra partenza Descrizione di apenseri tratta da http://itinerari.mtb-forum.it/tours/view/277

You terminate the rise when, on top of a field you will see renovated house (not the ruins that you met just before), you will recognize it because fenced and because it runs slightly behind the pace of road Faggiola (see to the right of the same name Mountain); after skirting, left, the fence, turn left on a dirt road on the plain, after about one hundred meters, turn left and shortly after right: the road is wider and beaten; after a flat stretch, the road turns to the right: here you have to turn left into a small forest, follow the road until after a stretch downhill you turn 90 degrees to the right, immediately after the house turn left along the brecciated and followed for almost a kilometer. you will come to a crossroads, the brecciated rises steeply but you turn right, following a nice carriage, without possibility of error will come to a small paved road that you follow to right.Depending this point you have to follow the main road to a junction where you keep the left, starting ua pretty tough climb, always on asphalt; once you reach the top turn right, entering a cultivated field, turn immediately left into the pine forest and you should find a path that you forward, after a while, the path will enter into a wider road, always in the pine forest, follow it right, ignore the first turning on the left, take a left at the second, downhill, once you reach the top, turn left again onto a path not particularly obvious and follow it until it will not take out of the pine forest and reach the paved road ( attentive to the barbed wire) .Svoltate right at the first intersection go straight, at the second turn right, follow the narrow asphalt in the gentle ups and downs, once you reach a crossroads, turn slightly left and then right, keeping more or less the 'previous guidance, follow the dirt road that goes down, at the first intersection, turn right and continue to fall, after the first stroke a little' bumpy features an excellent bottom and you can let it run the bike; when the carriage will turn to the right you turn left in the field where the path is sometimes just mentioned, you will begin to rise and follow the road through the fields until you see a ruin: it will pass and you turn immediately left, just after you reach the ridge which you follow towards destra.Alla first turn you will go to the right beginning a beautiful descent with some really fast sections (careful though, at certain times of the year are formed deep ruts, in others the soil becomes sandy). Always follow the one that appears on the main path until you reach a small village (Bronze), before ending the carriage house a good jump you can tackle with confidence, soon after, however, become attached to the brakes because they have to cross a paved road. Once back in the dirt road, lined a fence for animals, take a left, a steep but short descent, go and find the ford to the left and past this, after about two hundred meters begins TERRIBLE Costarètta, a stretch of about 250 meters. The official route runs along the tarmac to a crossroads, on the left you go to Montealtavelio for the last run of the day, right ripiegherete towards Mercatino Conca for a far less 'honorable return' but definitely more tranquillo.Se have turned left after less than a kilometer you will reach a small square in plan with four roads follow the middle one, you will come to the threshing floor of a farmhouse and you should catch a glimpse through the trees a path that descends steeply, you will take it and get into a beautiful carriage in the middle of forest, once there will be a short stretch of asphalt: the descent that awaits you going left is very technical, to avoid it go right and you will find comfortable up to the provincial Conca Market; having opted to turn left, you turn right as soon as you cross the first house: you will take the cart road that appears at first convenient moment, then entrarà in a forest where there you will always find a wide track (often the invasion of thorns becomes problematic ) here begins the most technical part of which will culminate in a stretch in a very steep descent, often disturbed by branches, brambles and moves stones: do not be ashamed to dismount.
