Trail Description

We start the morning at 09.00 clock in Torbole to Malcesine from Hotel Santoni to the gondola up to the Altissimo. The ride goes along the Lago di Garda on the left bank in the south. Malcesine is reached after about 30 minutes. The ride goes through some galleries (tunnels) driving lights on the bike is here useful and also quite appropriate. Is pleasant that the MTB'ler apparently take precedence over the rank and file, as far as the driveway with the gondola. . The ticket for the bikers including bike costs 17, - Euro & ;. The gondola makes a little more than 8 meters / second, so it goes quickly and swiftly upward. Top disembarked we drive on the first hill at about 11 ° C, so it's quite fresh and cool wind blows around our ears. We dress a entsprechnend and biking up the hill. Once at the top we make half right in front of us the Altissimo, but is still much better the view! We are very lucky that day, that it thinks the weather gods very well with us. Bright sunshine, no clouds and deep blue sky, what do you the more on such a day! We will continue our path to Rifugio Graziano, which is below the altissimo, until there is about 350 hm, that's pretty fast on the asphalt road. Once you leave the gravel road to the mountain station access and meets the asphalt to get to the left in the first hairpin, the right passes to the Navenne trail. We follow this up he spits us back to the Aspahltstrasse. Arriving at the Rifugio Graziano first there is a decent snack and then it goes up to Altissimo. The climb is strenuous and forces tugging. The large rocky loose gravel requires quite up a well-trained leg muscles and also quite a bit of driving technique to the summit. However, it is worth the effort, the view from up there is simply bombastic! The lake shines at its best, we would not be able to get better over time and weather technically. We go several times the site because the view from everywhere is simply unbeatable and we want to enjoy, as long as it just fits ... Then we make our way to the entry point of the 601er exit to Torbole. The 601er is widely known and notorious. It demands full concentration, protectors and bikers run with the will of the bike to have! Who these prerequisites is fulfilled come on the trail their money and below a constantly widening grin on his face ... We have the 601er are not followed all the way to Trobole, the tribute which we had to pay him, was violently and forces tugging . Therefore we have made the last few miles to the Plazza Goethe in Torbole on the asphalt road, but that was also very good and the departure has also been great fun. Arriving at Ristorante at Piazza Gothenburg in Torbole, there was an excellent carpaccio and a tasty house brand of Vino Bianco. And so goes MTB holiday on Lake Garda ... :) PS: The specified time is seen as relative and without breaks. The specified height and kilometers are without Ascent by cable car.
