DESCRIZIONE
Da Perigiali (Nydri nord) si aggira la base del monte Skaroi per una strada panoramica che corre alta lungo costa, ad un centinaio di m. di quota; sopra Nikiana si piega verso l’interno; nel wp C (q. 432) si lascia la principale per prendere lo sterrato che sale quasi in vetta al monte Skaroi (q. 600). Segue una lunga ed impegnativa discesa fino a 300 m di quota; una breve risalita e si guadagna la bella stradina che sfiora la Kokkini Ekkclesia e termina su strada principale nel wp C2 a q. 307. Dopo 500 m si trova una buona fonte e dopo altri 500 la deviazione per sterrato; inizialmente facile, si riporta sulla principale in periferia di Platystoma, con una dura rampa finale. Un veloce tratto asfaltato ci avvicina a Vafkeri; si potrebbe evitare la deviazione per il centro ma, facendola, si può approfittare per una sosta al bar del paese. Tornati al bivio (q.500) si sale ad Englouvi e quindi al ben noto altopiano di Ammokampos. Se già avete risalito il Profitis Ilias potete ignorare la deviazione che lo propone, altrimenti .. andateci! Scollinato di fronte al Mega Oros a q. 920, si scende velocemente ad Exanthea e da qui, con tratti di sterrato, si scende verso Ag. Nikitas. Prima di arrivare al paese si propone una digressione alla vicina spiaggia di Milos. Scesi ad Ag. Nikitas (paesino turistico che merita una visita, fino alla sua spiaggia) si pone il problema di risalire a Sfakiotes, evitando la comoda strada principale; le prime rampe per il monte Krevatote sono veramente durissime poi nel bivio H, dove si tiene a sx, inizia un panoramico traverso alto sulla baia di Pefkoulia. Quando la strada piega verso l’interno si è ormai vicini all’innesto con la strada asfaltata che avviene nel wp H q. 490. Da Sfakyotes, si piega in dir. nord passando per Kavalos ed attraversando l’altopiano di Kalavrou. Toccata q. 485 si inizia a scendere verso Tsoukalades tenendosi però più alti. Dal wp I con un susseguirsi di saliscendi si mantiene sostanzialmente la quota fino al wp M (q. 329) dove si imbocca una strada che scende ripida e decisa verso Lefkada città (un tratto di sentiero che fatto in salita mi aveva appiedato, è impegnativo anche in discesa ). E’ ora gradito un tranquillo percorso, ad andatura turistica, lungo la laguna a nord della cittadina e poi ancora lungo il porticciolo sul lato est; sono quasi a fine giro, mancano “solo” 12 Km a Perigiali, tutto lungo costa, sulla strada principale.

DESCRIPTION
From Perigiali (Nydri north) is around the base of the mountain Skaroi for a scenic road that runs high along the coast, about a hundred meters. share; above Nikiana bends inwards; in wp C (q. 432) leaving the main to take the dirt road that goes almost to the summit Skaroi (q. 600). There is a long and difficult descent to 300 m above sea level; a short climb and earns the beautiful road that touches the Kokkini Ekkclesia and ends on Main Street in wp C2 to q. 307. After 500 m you will find a good source and another 500 after the turnoff for the dirt road; initially easy, we report on the main suburban Platystoma, with a tough final ramp. A quick stretch of tarmac us closer to Vafkeri; you could avoid the detour to the center, but doing it, you can take advantage to a stop at the bar of the country. Back at the crossroads (q.500) Englouvi and then you go up to the well-known plateau Ammokampos. If you have already climbed the Profitis Ilias can ignore the detour proposes, otherwise .. go for it! Top of the hill in front of the Mega Oros in q. 920, it drops quickly to Exanthea and from here, with stretches of dirt road, down towards Ag. Nikitas. Before coming to the country proposes an aside to the nearby beach of Milos. I went down to Ag Nikitas (tourist town that is worth a visit to his beach) is the problem to go back to Sfakiotes, conveniently avoiding the main road; the first ramp to Mount Krevatote are really harsh and then at the junction H, where you keep left, begins a scenic traverse above the bay of Pefkoulia. When the road turns inland we are approaching the junction with the paved road that takes place in the wp H q. 490. Sfakyotes From, leans dir. north via Kavalos and crossing the plateau of Kalavrou. Toccata q. 485 begins to descend toward keeping Tsoukalades however higher. Since I wp with a succession of ups and downs remains substantially the share of up to wp M (q. 329) where you take a road that descends steeply and decided to Lefkada town (a section of trail that I had done in ascent on foot, it is challenging even downhill). And 'now enjoyed a quiet location, walk to the tourist along the lagoon to the north of the town and then again along the marina on the east side; are almost at the end of lap missing "only" 12 kilometers Perigiali, all along the coast, on the main road.
