Die Tour startet in Gisingen, kann aber auch von überall in Feldkirch starten. Feldkirch wird als Startpunkt empfohlen da der Grenzübergang Bangs genutzt wird. Zunächst führt die Tour nach Rüthi im Schweizer Kanton Sankt Gallen. Zunächst gehts durchs Dorf und dann auch gleich schon stetig bergauf. Die Route verläuft im unteren Drittel meist im Wald wobei die oberen zwei Drittel fast ausschließlich ohnen Schattenspender auskommen. Die durchschnittliche Steigung liegt bei ca. 7,5% wobei die maximale Steigung durchaus, vor allem auf dem letzten Stück, über 20% betragen kann. Die Tour endet gegenüber des Hohen Kasten, wo die Straße aufhört. Der weitere Weg bis zur Seilbahn sollte nur von geübten Fahrern befahren werden da dieser nur aus einen Wanderpfad besteht. Höhentechnisch befindet man sich ohnehin nicht weit unterhalb der Seilbahnstation. Rückweg ist gleich dem Anfahrtsweg.
