Oggi magnifico anello attorno al Montagnone tutto in solitaria. Salita infinita e massacrante da Montorio passando da Cerqueto e risalendo dal Colle della Coda, Colle Lupo, costeggiando il Bosco Merici e poi tagliando a destra per la Lama dei berti fino a raggiungere dopo litri e litri di sudore la tanto agognata Forchetta di Cima Alta (1560 metri)
Dalla Forchetta inizia un'interminabile discesa che passa dal Rifugio del Fontanino dove mi sono ristorato un pò per poi riprendere la discesa alla ricerca della Grotta di Largarola. Ho rischiato di rimanere impantanato in un mare di fango che mi arrivava quasi alle corone posteriori (ed agli stinchi)...riesco a ripartire con le scarpe piene di fango e trovo la Grotta che purtroppo è irraggiungibile in quanto si trova su un gradone tra due ripide lame di roccia come si vede nelle foto. Continuo a scendere fino a Forca di Valle (dimenticandomi completamente di passare alla Fonte Chiavatteri) e decido di variare il programma deviando a sinistra risalendo per la Vena Fracica, Fonte del Lupo e Piana del Bucci dove si perde il sentiero. Mi ritrovo circondato da cacciatori impegnati in una battuta di caccia al cinghiale...peccato però che i cinghiali stanno ancora in alto ed infatti ne ho visti ben due sul montagnone. Dò uno sguardo a Google Maps e mi rendo conto che da li si risale e torno indietro fino ad alcuni ruderi dove sosto all'ombra per pensare al dafarsi. Subito scorgo una specie di similsentiero infondo ad una ripida campagna erbosa che mi si para davanti. Provo ad azzardare il tentativo e...bingo...mi ritrovo su una strada sterrata ai margini di un'immensa tartufaia privata. Circumnavigo la tartufaia e mi si para davanti un bivio ma, fortunatamente (penso stupidamente io) c'è li vicino un taglialegna slavo con il trattore. Chiedo informazioni e lui..TU NO VA DI LA, TU VA GIU, FIDA FIDA...che possa ardere, dopo una lunga e ripida discesa mi ritrovo in un vicolo cieco infondo al Fosso Scarpone. Bestemmio e sudo e mi tocca risalire per ben 200 metri di dislivello e del coglione nemmeno l'ombra altrimenti me lo sarei mangiato. Vado per l'altra strada che il tizio mi aveva detto di non fare e dopo 100 metri mi ritrovo in un magnifico Agriturismo sul Colle Scarpone. Di li tutta sterrata fino a Tozzanella dove un simpatico cagnolino mi si accoda e mi accompagna fino ad Aquilano. Ultima discesa e provo anche ad azzardare la Costa della Luna mete dei miei viaggi da bambino ma oramai inesorabilmente chiusa e senza possibilità alcuna di passare tra i fitti rovi spinosi.

Today magnificent ring around the Montagnone all solo. Endless and exhausting climb from Montorio going from Cerqueto and going from Col Tail, Wolf Hill, along the Forest Merici and then cutting right to the Lama of berti until you reach after gallons of sweat the coveted Fork Cima Alta ( 1,560 meters)
From Fork begins an interminable descent that passes from the Refuge Fontanino where I refreshed a bit and then resume the descent in search of the cave Largarola. I risked being bogged down in a sea of ??mud that I almost to posterior crowns (and shins) ... I can share with their shoes full of mud and I find the cave that is unfortunately unattainable as it is located on a terrace between two steep rock blades as you can see in the photos. I still go down to the Forca di Valle (completely forgetting to go to the source Chiavatteri) and I decide to change the program, turning left again for the Vena Fracica, Lupo and Source of Plain Bucci where you lose the trail. I find myself surrounded by hunters engaged in hunting wild boar ... pity though that the boars are still high and in fact I've seen two on montagnone. I give a look at Google Maps and I realize that they are dating and go back up to some ruins where I stand in the shade to think dafarsi. Now I see a kind of similsentiero instill a steep grassy countryside that appears before me. I try to dare the attempt and ... bingo ... I find myself on a dirt road at the edge of a huge truffle private. Circumnavigated the truffle and appears before me a fork, but fortunately (I think I stupidly) is near a woodcutter Slavic them with the tractor. Information and ask him .. YOU MUST BE OF THE NO, YOU MUST Down, FIDA FIDA ... that can burn, after a long and steep descent I find myself in a blind alley deep in the ditch boot. Sudo and swear and I have to go back to over 200 meters in altitude, and even the shadow of the jerk me otherwise I would have eaten. I'm going the other way that the guy had told me not to do and after 100 meters I find myself in a magnificent Cottage on the Hill boot. Of them all dirt until Tozzanella where a cute little dog is queued me and takes me up to Aquilano. Last downhill and I also try to venture the Coast Luna goals of my travels as a child but now inexorably closed and no possibility to switch between the dense thorny brambles.
