Die Tour beginnt an der Ausflugsgaststätte Rothe Mühle, direkt am Holtemme Radweg in Wernigerode. Auf dem Holtemme Radweg fahre ich bis Derenburg, dort geht es hinter den Gärten auf die ehemalige Bahntrasse nach Böhnshausen in Richtung Langenstein. Vor Langenstein biege ich nach rechts auf einen Feldweg ab, denn ich will den Weg am Goldbach nehmen, der zum Harzvorland Radweg gehört und wunderschön ist. Hinter Langenstein fahre ich am Rand der Spiegelsberge entlang und komme am Sowjetischen Ehrenmal und am Mausoleum vorbei. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiegelsberge Ehe ich das Zentrum von Halberstadt erreiche fahre ich durch einen Park, umgehe den Stadtverkehr und komme am Burchardikloster vorbei. Hier ist das längste Orgelstück zu hören, 639 Jahre soll es dauern. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ORGAN%C2%B2/ASLSP Am Friedhof entlang komme ich nach Klein Quenstedt und fahre zum Huy, mit zunehmender Höhe wir die Aussicht immer größer. Die Paulskopfwarte, errichtet in der Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts, erinnert mit der umgebenen Hecke an ein Dornröschenschloss. Durch eine kleine Lücke in der Hecke ist sie zwar zugänglich, aber nicht zu besteigen. www.roederhof.de/index.htm Das nächste Ziel ist das Kloster Huysburg. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huysburg Auf Waldwegen die kaum beschildert sind will ich zu den Gletschertöpfen. An einem Antennenmast beschreibt mir ein Wanderer den Weg über den Hardelsberg und sagt mir auch gleich dass der Weg schwer zu finden und sehr zugewachsen ist. Als ich den Huy verlasse bietet sich ein Panoramablick über fast die ganze Ausdehnung des Harzes, beginnent im Westen etwa in Langelsheim über Torfhaus, Luisenklippe und Brocken, weiter die Hohneklippen, dann abfallend den Ziegenkopf wieder ansteigend die Viktorshöhe und dann auslaufend den Windpark bei Aschersleben. Über Athenstedt, Ströbeck, Mahndorf und Derenburg erreiche ich meinen Startpunkt wieder.
