Landschaftlich reizvolle Auffahrt auf kretischem Schotter von Kavousi vorbei an Melisses und durch das Gebiet der Thripti-Schlucht. Immer wieder schöne Ausblicke aufs Meer und die umliegende Landschaft. Oben erwartet einen statt eines Almgebiets ein normales griechisches Dorf mit Asphaltanbindung. Für ganz harte Hunde geht es von Thripti weiter zum Gipfel des Afendis Stavromenos. Dort hinauf führt eine eigens für die Telekom-Station in die Flanken des Berges gesprengte Straße. Anfangs noch gut, später immer übler und steiler werdend, geht es von Thripti noch ca. 500hm weiter in die Höhe, dabei offeriert der Berg grandiose Fernblicke. Ich habe jedenfalls 200m unter dem Gipfel das Handtuch geworfen, daher endet die Aufzeichnung an dieser Stelle. Zurück in Thripti: Es geht weiter über die Aspahlt- und Betonpiste vorbei an der Monastiraki-Schlucht nach Kato Horio und von dort eher weniger schön auf Land- und Nebenstraßen zurück nach Kavousi.

Scenic drive on gravel of Cretan Kavousi past Melisses and through the territory of Thripti Gorge. Again and again, beautiful views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Up to expect instead of a Almgebiets a normal Greek village with asphalt access. For very hard dog to go from Thripti to the summit of Afendis Stavromenos. There goes up one specifically for the telecom station exploded in the flanks of the mountain road. Initially good, later getting worse and steeper, it goes from Thripti approx 500hm more in height, while the mountain offers magnificent panoramas. I have certainly thrown 200m below the summit in the towel, so the recording ends at this point. Back in Thripti: It goes on about the Aspahlt- and concrete runway past the Monastiraki Gorge to Kato Horio and from there rather less beautiful on land and secondary roads back to Kavousi.
