Diese Mountainbiketour ist auch für den konditionsstarken Einsteiger geeignet. Sie verläuft weitestgehend auf Schotterstraßen und beinhaltet einige flowige Trails, die problemlos bewältigt werden können. Start der Tour ist auf dem Wanderparkplatz im Ilsetal, Verlängerung zur Mühlenstraße in Ilsenburg. Vom Parkplatz aus führt die Tour ein kurzes Stück an der Ilse talwärts und dann hinauf zum Schloss. Von hier aus geht es auf Schotter und flowigen Trails am Harzrand entlang nach Wernigerode. Nach dem kurzen Abstecher in die Innenstadt, fährt man an den Gleisen der Harzer Schmalspurbahn entlang in Richtung Bahnhof Steinerne Renne um dann, nach einem längerer Anstieg, das GHS Steinerne Renne zu erreichen. Nach einer Pause heißt es noch 50Hm den Berg hinauf, um dann auf diesem Niveau zum GHS Plessenburg zu fahren. Von hier führt der Weg nur noch bergab bis nach Ilsenburg. Auf der zügigen Abfahrt ins Tal sollten aber die Aussichten an den Paternosterklippen und am Ilsestein in jedem Fall noch in diese Tour eingebunden werden.

This mountain bike tour is suitable for beginners good physical condition. It runs largely on gravel roads and includes some flowy trails that can be easily overcome. The tour starts on the trail parking lot in Ilsetal, extension to the mill road in Ilse castle. From the parking lot the tour leads a short distance to the Ilse valley and then up to the castle. From here it goes on gravel and flowing trails along the edge of the Harz Wernigerode. After the short trip to downtown, you drive on the tracks of the Harz narrow gauge railway along towards the station Stony Run for then, after a prolonged rise to reach the GHS Stony Run. After a pause, it is still called 50Hm up the hill, only to drive at this level for GHS Plessenburg. From here the path leads only downhill to Ilse castle. On the swift descent into the valley but the prospects at the Paternoster cliffs and on Ilsenstein in any case should be included in this tour.
