This trip we have made reference to the map of OpenMTBMap.org (openmtbmap.org/de/), we had loaded onto the GPS. The cards are quite reliable and current, smaller surprises there but, see below ... The wheels had borrowed we Fred van der Meer (www.toursandtracksalgarve.com/). Home is in the hotel zone quot &, Praia de Falesia & quot; of Olhos d'Agua in front of the Porto Bay Falesia. Passing the Riu Guarana it goes down first, then on gravel after a hairpin bend in the district Roja Pe. Vilamoura to the tour follows the cycle track & quot; Ecovia litoral & quot ;, which we later met again - unfortunately leaves the signs to be desired. Vilamoura is a little tricky crossed on footpaths, helps here next to the GPS & nbsp; only local knowledge, not yet to land upside down. Then it goes past the Stadium of Quarteira parallel to the main road towards the sea, past the fish market and then along the beach promenade. At the end you have to make a detour to get to a small restaurant. This bypasses (Driving in sand is hardly possible) you. Facing the ocean, then it goes short uphill, and after traversing a campsite you meet again on the Ecovia Now circling a lagoon and then climbs up to the settlements of the Valle do Lobo, where, although there are no wolves, but even more golf courses. After some strong ups and downs - we were allowed to do because of a construction-related road closures some additional adjustment - one finally arrives at the entrance to the Ria Formosa, which is actually a one-way street the opposite direction. From this gravel road, there are two dams from railway sleepers, which are both beach access and driving opportunity for a sea view, until - on the road again - & nbsp; on a single trail (note bike tracks of locals; Note: also used by hikers and with ordinary mud holes, descend in doubt!) branches, the one to the level of the hotel & quot; Quinta do Lago & quot; (Larger wooden bridge to the beach) & nbsp; follows. Here, you can back on the road and is now driving this on the main road from Valle do Lobo. 2 At the roundabout, turn left into the Avenua Ayrton Senna to leave at the first junction to the right. After a few meters is waiting for us - contrary OpenMTBMap - no tarmac road, but a little wheeled increase on sand, then a fine singletrack with occasional shift routes, including through a small stream. Finally, to get back on a paved road and continue along this until you get on the way here. Then are only a small deviations due to one-way streets in Quarteira and Vilamoura observed, otherwise it goes back to the way here to the hotel.
