Durch die Ahrweiler Weinberge geht es zu erst hoch in Richtung Kahlenborn. Die ersten 15 km sind zum einrollen auf die noch folgenden Anstiege. Über Krählingen und Lind kommt man nach etwa 35 km nach Hönningen runter, hier kann man an der Tankstelle noch mal seinen Getränkevorrat auffüllen. Von hier aus geht es hoch zur Teufelsley, in Richtung Hohe Warte. Hier sollte man nach ungefähr 43-45 km kurz stehen bleiben und die schöne Aussicht genießen. Weiter geht es nun zum Anstieg auf die Hohe Acht. Ein Abstecher zum Aussichtsturm lohnt sich immer. Auf der Abfahrt nach Breitscheid kann man sich schon vorstellen was einen gleich wieder erwartet. Die Strecke führt nun über die alte Steilstrecke am Ring entlang zum Brünnchen. Ab hier beginnt die Rückfahrt über die alte Kohlenstraße nach Ahrweiler. Kurz vor Ramersbach muß man nochmal in den ersten zurückschalten danach führt die Strecke durchs Bachemer Tal runter. An der Lourdes Kapelle geht es nochmal hoch zur Ramersbacher Straße. Die Einfahrt zum Trail ist im Sommer etwas zugewachsen und liegt etwa 15 m hinter der Waldhütte. Von hier geht es dann nur noch bergab nach Ahrweiler.
