Fuer mich war es im Jahre 2009 das erste Mal, dass ich am Albstadt Mountainbike Marathon teilgenommen habe. Soviel vorab: Es ist eine Klasse Veranstaltung, mit einer Top-Organisation und Verpflegung. Es wird einem etwas fuer's Geld geboten.....man sollte aber im Vorfeld genuegend Kilometer in den Beinen haben, ansonsten geht's euch so wie mir, der an jedem Anstieg der letzten 20km am liebsten ausgestiegen waere, doch das tolle Publikum half immer wieder ueber den Berg.....im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Hier noch ein Ausschnitt aus der Ausschreibung des Veranstalters: Albstadt lebt den Radsport. Das wird den 2500 Sportlern des Albstadt-LBS Bike Marathons jedes Jahr aufs neue bewusst. „So eine Stimmung wie hier in Albstadt findest du nirgends sonst“, schwärmen selbst die Profis der Szene und danken es den Zuschauern alljährlich mit Top Leistungen und unglaublich spannenden Rennen. Die Strecke verläuft quasi einmal rund um Albstadt und grenzt an alle neun Teilgemeinden. 86 Kilometer müssen die Teilnehmer unter Ihre Stollenreifen nehmen und dabei über 1600 Höhenmeter bewältigen.

It was for me in 2009 for the first time that I have participated in Albstadt mountain bike marathon. So much in advance: There is a class event, with a top organization and catering. It is offered a something for your money ..... but you should in advance have enough miles in the legs, otherwise you go it as me, who would be exited prefer to increase each of the last 20km, but the great audience helped over again out of the woods ..... in the truest sense of the word. Here's an excerpt from the award of the organizer: Albstadt lives cycling. This is the 2500 athletes of Albstadt- LBS Bike Marathon every year realize anew. & Bdquo; Thus an atmosphere like here in Albstadt you'll find nowhere else & ldquo ;, raving even the professionals of the scene and thank the spectators every year with top performance and incredibly exciting race. The route runs almost once around Albstadt and borders on all nine sub-communities. 86 km must take under your knobby tires and thereby cope over 1600 meters in altitude participants.
