Ich starte von Campingplatz in Riol. Von dort führt die Strecke durch Weinberge und Wald, gleichmäßig steigend - nur unterbrochen durch einen Uphill-trail der Kategorie kurz-aber-knackig (KAK) zum Aussichtsturm Fünf-Seen-Blick. Nach kurzem, ebenem Verschnaufstück steht die erste Herausforderung mit einem zweigeteilten Single-Trail an: dem Downhill Dicke Rippe - Klasse: vom Feinsten (VF) - folgt eine Querpassage leicht ansteigend, die in einen romantischen Ziehweg an der Hangkante hoch über dem Moseltal führt. Es folgt die Single-Trail Kombination Trio Infernale, dem Streckenabschnitt der Marke vom Allerfeinsten (VAF). Von dieser Abfahrt noch total berauscht folgt die Ernüchterung auf dem Fuße mit einem weiteren KAK-Uphill. Danach ist Genussbiken auf hohem Niveau angesagt mit Panorama total. Hier kann man sehr schöne Fotos über das herrliche Moseltal machen! Einer flotter Abfahrt durch die Weinberge Richtung Leiwen folgt eine lange, dennoch schöne - weil gleichmäßige - Auffahrt zurück auf die Moselhöhen, auf der in wechselndem, hügeligen Gelände Feld und Wald durchfahren werden. Die Strecke führt zurück an den Rand der Moselberge, dort per Single-Trail-Abfahrt mit anschließender Passage entlang der K85. Man nähert sich dem Single-Trail-Paradies Kammerwald, das Finale furioso in Lustgarten und Hexenküche des Mehringer XC-Geländes mit Ende am Schützenhaus Mehring. Mein Tipp: Um die Schönheit der Strecke und Landschaft so richtig erleben zu können sollte man etwas gemütlicher fahren und hin und wieder an schönen Lichtungen anhalten um den herrlichen Ausblick zu genießen und digital festzuhalten!

I start by camping in Riol. The route back to the edge of the Moselle mountains, there by single trail with subsequent passage along the K85.
