Wenn man im Juni nach Griechenland fährt, rechnet man nicht damit, das die Regenjacke von Nöten wäre – dem war aber so. Da ich im Netz keine GPS-Tour auf Korfu gefunden habe, hier der erste GPS-Klassiker für die “Grüne Insel” der zum höchsten Punkt der Insel führt (Pantokrator: 917 Höhenmeter). Startpunkt ist an der Ostseite der Insel beim Giant-Händler (Räder sind sehr gut gepflegt, verschiedene Größen vorhanden, Service ist ausgezeichnet und Preise sind mit 12 Euro / Tag unschlagbar billig – verglichen mit Gardasee). Von dort gleich auf der Küstenstraße und danach auf einer asphaltierten Bergstraße Richtung Hauptberg. Die Auffahrt schlängelt sich nun etwa 15 Kilometer mit angenehmen durchschnittlichen 15 Prozent über einen Kamm, auf dessen Rückseite man dann den finalen Anstieg zum Pantokrator in Angriff nehmen kann. Lediglich das letzte Teilstück ist etwas anspruchsvoll. Von dort wieder auf der gleichen Straße bergab und über Zygos, Sokrati und den schönen Dorf Doukades (wer eine Rast einplant, sollte es hier tun, vier kleine Tavernen buhlen um die Gunst der Germanen) zum Badeort Palaikastristsa. Nach einem kurzen Cafe in dem völlig mit Touristen vollgestopften Stück Sand wieder über die Landstraße zurück zum Ausgangspunkt in Dassia. If you go to Greece in June, one does not expect that would be the rain jacket needs & ndash; but it had been. Since I have not found a GPS tour of Corfu in the network, here the first GPS-classic for the & ldquo; Green Island & rdquo; the highest point of the island leads (Pantokrator: 917 meters altitude). Starting point is on the east side of the island at Giant dealer (wheels are very well maintained, various sizes available, service is excellent and prices are 12 euros / day incredibly cheap & ndash; compared to Lake Garda). From there, just across the coastal road and then along a paved mountain road towards the main mountain. The driveway winds its way about 15 km, with pleasant average 15 percent over a ridge, on whose back you can then take the final ascent to the Pantokrator in attack. Only the last part is a little challenging. From there downhill on the same street and Zygos, Sokrati and the beautiful village of Doukades (who schedules a snap, it should do four small tavernas vie for the attention of the Germans here) to the seaside resort Palaikastristsa. After a brief Cafe in the completely crowded with tourists piece of sand back on the road back to the starting point in Dassia.
