Die Tour ist eine Variante der Monte Casale Tour aus dem Moser Bike Guide 11. Start der Tour ist in Torbole (Aufzeichnung beginnt auf dem Camping Maroadi). Über Riva geht es auf der Asphaltstrasse hoch zum Tennosee und von dort auf den Passo Ballino. Weiter gehts auf der Strasse über Dasindo und Lundo nach Comano. Bei Comano beginnt der Anstieg zum Monte Casale. Unten ist die Strecke noch asphaltiert mit angenehmer Steigung. Später folgt dann ein geschotterter Forstweg. Danach folgt ein recht steiler betonierter Abschnitt, ehe die Strecke kurz vor dem Rifugio Don Zio zum Wanderweg wird. Der Aufstieg ist vom Untergrund her mittlerweile komplett fahrbar, lediglich die Steilheit des Betonabschnittes kann ab und zu zum Schieben zwingen. Vom Rifugio sollte man unbedingt noch die restlichen Höhenmeter über die Wiese bis zum Gipfel fahren oder besser schieben. Das Panorama lässt alle Strapazen vergessen. Der Rückweg führt durch sehr einsames Gebiet auf dem Sentiero dei Russi Richtung San Giovanni. Der Trail ist nahezu komplett fahrbar und absolut traumhaft. Dieses Jahr gab es nur das Problem, dass einige Bäume über den Pfad gestürtzt waren, die öfter mal zum Absteigen gezwungen haben (aber vielleicht werden diese ja bald wieder entfernt). Aufgrund der fortgeschrittenen Zeit (wir haben die Tour erst um 12:00 Uhr begonnen) sind wir ab San Giovanni auf der Strasse abgefahren. Ein schönerer Abschluss wäre sicher die Weiterführung der klassischen San Giovanni Route über Schotter und Trails nach Calvola und Tenno oder über Rancion nach Volta di No (wie in Moser Band 11 Tour 20 oder auch hier im Forum beschrieben).

About Riva continue on the paved road up to the Tenno and from there to the Passo Ballino. Next you go on the road over Dasindo and Lundo to Comano. In Comano the climb to Monte Casale begins. Below the line is still paved with pleasant pitch. Later follows a gravel forest road. This is followed by a steep paved section before the track becomes a footpath just before the Rifugio Don Zio. The ascent is now fully mobile from the ground here, only the slope of the concrete section can force from time to time to push. From Rifugio you should definitely take the still remaining in altitude over the meadow to the summit or better push. The panorama can forget all hardships. The way back leads through very lonely area on the Sentiero dei Russi direction San Giovanni. The trail is almost completely mobile and absolutely gorgeous. This year there were only the problem that some trees were overthrown by the path, who often times forced to dismount (but maybe they are so soon removed again). Due to the lateness of the hour (we have the tour started at 12:00 clock) we left on the road from San Giovanni. A fairer conclusion would certainly be the continuation of the classic San Giovanni route on gravel and trails after Calvola and Tenno or Rancion to Volta di No (as in Moser band tour 11 20 or here in the forum described).
