Section 2 of the Transalp from 2007 from Garmisch to Belluno (ie something different ... not to Lake Garda). Basically this Transalp is more suitable for beginners and can be completely gone except for a few exceptions. Overall, about 40% asphalt (mainly bike lanes) 50% forest / dirt roads carry 10%, push, lift Stage 2: Pettnau - Steinach am Brenner From Pettnau it always goes on the Inntalradweg about 20km to Innsbruck (Golden Dacherl, Japanese , Pairs, Melange, etc.). Shortly before the Bergisel hill a short sliding distance in the residential area before it goes back into the forest. Next vobei to Mutters and Natters and most times above and sometimes below the Stubaital train to Mieders direction. Again SHORT push (ok some take the short climb) and then you can decide in Mieders whether to take the cable car to the forest Jöchl or approx. 600hm drives. No matter ... it goes up through the woods with some boulders to the pilgrimage church "Maria Waldrast" and then on asphalt on a beautiful descent into the valley to Matrei am Brenner. Here then follows also the most dangerous part of the journey, the journey to the B182 to Steinach (about 3km).
