Marathonstrecke des 1. Laufes vom Sunshinecup 2009 in Zypern. Die Strecke geht in Tochni los, nach einem kurzen Asphaltstück geht es auch schon ab, in das meist recht grobe Gelände. Am Anfang geht es vorwiegend auf breiteren Schotterwegen berg auf. Steile kurze Anstiege erschweren das Bergauffahren teilwesie erheblich und verlangen dem Fahrer einiges an Kondition und Fahrtechnik ab, wenn er nich vom Bike steigen will!! Oben angekommen erstreckt sich vor einem eine endlos weite Berglandschaft, dreht man sich um 180 Grad sieht man auf der anderen Seite das Meer. Die Abfahrten machen richtig gute Laune, die einem jedoch schnell vermiesst werden kann, falls man in eine vom Regen ausgespülte Rinne fährt!!! Also immer schön vorausschauend fahren! Ziel ist dann in Kalavassos. Siegerzeit war 1:53 h Um an den Anfang der Tour zurückzukehren, bietet es sich an in Richtung Autobahn zu fahren und dann nach Tochni abzubiegen. Wer jedoch noch nicht genug von den anstrengenden Höhenmetern der Tour hat kann natürlich auch den direkten Weg über die Berge nach Tochni nehmen.

Marathon of the 1st run of Sunshinecup 2009 in Cyprus. The route starts in Tochni, after a short asphalt piece is also from already, in the usually quite rough terrain. Winning time was 1:53 back to the beginning of the tour, it makes sense to drive towards the highway and then turn to Tochni. Can take the direct route over the mountains to Tochni However, if you have not had enough of the hard meters of the tour of course.
