Eine der Königstouren am Gardasee um die Nordostflanke des Monte Altissimo mit grandiosen Panoramablicken und Abfahrten größtenteils auf Singletrails. Um Kräfte und Zeit für den langen Downhill zu sparen beginnt die Tour an der Gipfelstation der Funivia Monte Baldo. Zunächst geht es eine breite Schotterstraße hinab die dann in eine Asphaltstraße mündet und hinab zum Boca Navene führt. Von dort der Asphaltstraße folgend zum Refugio Graziani. Hier beginnt der schweißtreibende Aufstieg zum Monte Altissimo auf einem Serpentinenweg mit ruppigen Schotteruntergrund und traumhaften Fernblicken. Oben angelangt gibt es im Refugio Altissimo Spaghetti zur Stärkung für die nun folgenden 2000 Höhenmeter Downhill. dem Wegweiser Malga Campo, S. Giacomo 622 folgend geht es nun in Nord-Östlich Richtung über stets fahrbare Karrenwege hinab zu Malga Campo. Von dort schlängelt man sich ohne wesentlich an Höhe zu verlieren an der Nordostflanke des Altissimo über einen schmalen Singletrail vorbei an steilen Abründen und grandiosen Panoramablicken. Dann weiter bergab folgend durch einen Wald, bald darauf über ein Almgelände (Malga Campei) auf einen Forstweg abbiegen der an einen Wegzweig auf die Strada Brentegana mündet. Hier ist der Speed Rausch erst einmal vorbei denn noch sind 330 hm Gegenanstieg zu bewältigen, zunächst auf einem breiten Waldweg, dann auf Asphalt bis zum Einstieg in den Navene Trial. Dieser ist der krönende Abschluß für alle die es auf grobem Schotter so richtig stauben lassen wollen. In engen Kehren kann man hier an einem Stück 1000 Höhenmeter vernichten. Von Navene aus geht es dann auf der Uferstraße gemütlich nach Malcesine zurück. Diese Tour lohnt sich nur bei trockener Witterung.
One of the King Tours on Lake Garda at the north-east flank of Monte Altissimo with magnificent panoramic views and runs mostly on singletrack. To save time and energy for the long downhill starts the tour at the summit station of the Monte Baldo funivia. Then continue downhill following through a forest, soon a pasture area (Malga Campei) on a forest road turn opens out to a Wegzweig on the Strada Brentegana. Here the speed rush is over once because even 330 hm ascent to deal with, initially on a wide forest road, then on asphalt until the entry into the Navene Trial. This is the crowning achievement for all who want to dust it so right on coarse gravel. In tight curves, you can destroy in one piece 1000 meters here. From Navene then it goes on the Embankment cozy back to Malcesine. This tour is worth it only in dry weather.
