Routenbeschreibung

portage one of the most interesting so far met: approximately 900 meters of the wall of grass, gravel and scree .... ordeal !!! or the crest of Crivellaro.
It starts from the delightful village of Intermesoli to 750 meters above sea level and the cart you reach the bridge collapsed (where regardless of the prohibition of access to the car park valley !!!); ford the stream and go up the right side toward the locks to take the path that will direct you towards Prato Selva. Keychain some stretch of portage and cycled reach the junction at the bar that closes the bottom of the woods of Fonte Novello. The aim, therefore, to the north (always trail) through other hydraulic structures and climbing on the profitable path (cycled many traits), cross a clearing (stone men and signpost white / red) until you cross the service road that leads up to plants Prato Selva. When you reach the last corner on the left before implantation (1710 masl) is pointing towards the meadows and up toward the canyon of grass, you can see the signs white / red and the obvious path.
Following the path you go to the Plains of San Pietro, it is left downhill towards the west until you cross the bed of the stream Crivellaro. It goes with traces of the trail left bank of the Crivellaro (attention to small landslides that have ruined the path) to the obvious grassy saddle on which graze cows and wild horses (1900 m); from here on, the trail is marked only by stone men ..... so sharpen your sight.
For the next 700 meters portage extreme !!! In fact, the trail gets tough, not just physically, but only suitable for minds trained in orientation and exposure .... remember that we attached to the rump a nice gate: then advise you not to venture into these places those who are not extremely ready in this sense !!!!
Where the soil becomes more pending, I opted for a detour to the west ridge, sweeter in the last 300 m. Released at an altitude of 2400 meters above sea level you can enjoy a magnificent view over the valley and the ridges of Chiarino Malecoste, but there are other meters in portage: we pass the peak Occ. Monte Corvo (2530 m), then, after a good latch , we arrive at the summit and Eastern Europe (2630 m).
The descent from Mount Corvo to the south ridge, is not the most simple: some places you have to climb, so better deal in two steps more difficult; attention to pedestrians going up or coming down because the bike can download some crumbling stone !!
After the climbing stage we find ourselves at the Sella di Monte Corvo (2300 m), now has to work around the peak which borders to the south with a labile mountain path: behind, 100 m further down you get to the saddle Venacquaro, with a small lake.
down from the saddle, following the signpost for the trail, never banal, sometimes technical and sometimes amusing, but ever faster, which allows us to admire one of the most beautiful valleys of the Gran Sasso; Also here you can meet wild herds of horses. You go through the whole valley up to an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level where begins the most technical (sometimes exposed) to the forest; Unfortunately, the forest path is not feasible, too many broken stones and logs require me to get out of the saddle (up to 1300 m approx): beware of the red marks very rare !!! Let the habitat of beech Fonte Novello and we are back at the track that will lead us to Intermesoli.
ENJOY THE VIEW !!!
