Partenza dalla piazza di Santa Giustina, su strade secondarie si oltrepassano alcune delle piccole e caratteristiche frazioni
di San Gregorio nelle Alpi (Paluch, Fumach, Barp, Cort, Cargnach, Roncoi), a Roncoi delle sculture in legno ammoniscono i frequentatori della montagna ad usare prudenza
Le pendenze diventano micidiali, ma il fondo asfaltato permette comunque di pedalare. Dopo un po' la strada spiana, il fondo diventa sterrato e, dopo un po' di fatica si raggiunge l'amena chiesa di San Felice.
Dietro la chiesa prosegue il sentiero il leggera salita,
, poi inizia una serie di saliscendi fantastici
che permette di raggiungere il fondovalle.
Una inversione ad U e si continua a scendere su un magnifico sentiero (in sinistra idraulica), solamente un breve tratto obbliga (me) a scendere.
Si raggiunge quindi la zona boulder della Val Scura, si attraversa l'alveo con la bici in spalla, ed una strada sterrata permette di salire e poi scendere verso Campel.
Oltrepassata la strada provinciale si prende il sentiero della centrale dell'Altanon, i pannelli esplicativi conducono i ciclisti in un bellissimo percorso dalla ex diga alla vasca intermedia
, quindi verso la vasca di carico. Infine una picchiata, in parallelismo con la condotta forzata, ci permette di raggiungere la centrale.
Lì si oltrepassa il ponte pedonale e si prende un sentiero fra le case, un ponte da brivido permette di superare una rio, quindi si risale e si arriva sull'asfalto e quindi a Veses, in breve al parcheggio.
L'itinerario è combinabile con quello della Cascata del Brentaz
