Routenbeschreibung

Left the car in the parking lot of the Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno, start pedaling toward the kiosks of the florists where we take the small street to the right of the Upper Veilino.
Sail along a stretch cemetery and a few meters after passing under the old aqueduct turn left in via Ascent of St. Anthony; begin to address some twists and within minutes we spend in front of a church.
After passing the church on our left we take the narrow road via San Pantaleo which runs along the eastern slope of the hill, before we go along and then go through the particular gauge railway reduced that connects Genoa with Casella.
neglect the various small branches that meet and continue until you introduce us in via Carso near a bend, turn right and continue uphill on the paved surface.
reached the building that home to the arrival of the funicular Zecca - Righi bend to the right in the street Mure Chiappe, a few meters and we put in the way Peralto always uphill where, in short we cycle on the bridge of Peralto and cross the old walls.
We now at the foot of the fort Castellaccio next to a bar where we enter a beautiful world; always proceed uphill until you reach a large square used as a parking lot where scollinando appears in front of the strong Spur.
now leave aside the road that branches off to our left and would lead directly to the strong Spur and proceed to the right always on asphalted surface on Al Forte Begato.
After about a mile you see on the roadside in a branch road that leads to a gate a few meters from the walls, go through the gate and climb to the left for a few meters then left again go along the walls of Fort Begato up to a portal.
With the help of a small artificial ramp continue on along the walls of the fort on a path that leads us back after a few meters on the asphalt road.
Pedaling on asphalt we go again towards the North-East for a few meters until you get back to the front door crossed previously.
Let's review this time between the doors of the gate, but this time take the path on the right side of the walls, a small section on a slight slope and there it is a steep climb .
After little effort paves the road and proceeds nicely between the bush, leading to the side walls of the Forte Sperone, if you want to enjoy the best fortified complex is sufficient to take the path to the right of the road that leads us to a beautiful vantage point where you can see very well the fortress.
The road goes ever between up and down and after about 500 meters from the strong Spur find ourselves on a path that goes right, we take the track for a few yards and then turning to the right we find ourselves at the foot of the fort Puin with its grand staircase entrance.
On the right side of the street entrance to the fort depart a track that runs along the east side of the fort is reunited shortly after the road that we left for a visit to the fort Puin.
pedal along the ridge for a few meters and at the first fork we choose the right lane of abandoning the most beautiful street and direct to the strong Diamante.
Our deviation shows a bottom rugged and challenging for the ride but only for a few hundred meters then gives us a beautiful view of the fort Diamond, while behind us we can see the various strong just visited that stand out against Genoa.
proceed a few more meters and we find ourselves in the presence of strong Brother Minor, from the square of this fort we go back a few meters and take the path that climbs to the tops of the hill.
reaching the summit where the remains of the fort remain Elder Brother we enjoy the beautiful view before tackling the steep path down on the other side of the hill.
Short downhill and now we find ourselves at the foot of the fort Diamond, at the crossroads keep the main road that leads us to address a number of challenging switchbacks to conquer the summit where he built the fort Diamante.
After a short break, falling back to the series of switchbacks until you come to a crossroads; here we choose the path that branches off to the left across the grassy slope, a small passage with a bike on the side due to a difficult walk up to the Pass and descend easily Gandino.
From the pass we follow the wide track to the right after a short distance in plane begins to climb until you reach the grassy ridge; here we go left onto single track for a few meters until you come out on a dirt road called the Aqueduct Trail.
cross the dirt road and continue our descent always on the trail, we pass on the gallery of the railway Genova - Casella and immediately after to the left we take another path that ends on a paved road, walk two bends and branches off to the left when the last one staircase going down by cutting all remaining turns. Here you can choose to get off paying attention to pedestrians on the stairs or walk the paved road.
Pass in front of the church
