Routenbeschreibung

It 'a route that you can take in the summer, but that finds its highest expression in winter, when snow covers the meadows and roads, and increases the fun of this tour. The important thing is to start when the snow is sufficiently beaten and aged, to be able to ride at best, and in a day of high pressure, the better to admire the splendid panorama from the refuge. On entering the village of Candles, begins the snowy street and climb on forest with steep, always pedaling until the end of the forest. From here you need to climb up pushing the bike to the shelter for the last 300 meters in altitude, or rather with the bike on his shoulder and snowshoes (previously linked to the backpack). At the shelter we can relax and enjoy typical specialties and well cooked. If snow permits, you can go snowshoeing up to the horn of Fana (2663 m) with a spatial view of 360 ° of the Austrian Alps and the Dolomites.
The descent is hilarious on packed snow and open terrain, then in the woods and still on the lawn until candlelight. A stretch of road and then you go from Valle San Silvestro, then moved to a beautiful snowy path to Dobbiaco. Still on the trail near the river almost to the campsite. camping Olympia, between Villa Bassa and Dobbiaco in Alta Val Pusteria
