Routenbeschreibung

E 'an extended and arduous journey but of exceptional beauty, the one that runs through the Nature Park Fanes-Senes-Braies. For the most trained bikers who venture this track Boar advisable to undertake the resort of Longega, which in Ladino means "near the water" due to the presence and the confluence of two rivers.
Longega is the crossroads that enter into Marebbe Valley and from here the first impact is impressive: you can see the development of the valley, overlooked by majestic mountains, the Dolomites Marebbane, which at dusk turn a fiery red, and then go out in a dim purple which lost in the black of night. Although we started this hike from the hut Pederù in order to avoid the large tourist influx morning on the plateau of Fanes, it would be better to start from Longega to conclude the long journey downhill. We begin pedaling comfortably on bitumen up to San Vigilio. The untouched nature of mountainous south of San Vigilio is considered to be one very exciting show. This treasure enjoys the protection of the Fanes-Senes-Braies, which is bordered to the north by Val Pusteria, south of the province of Belluno, on the east by the Rogue Valley and west of Val Gardena.
Who S. Vigilio through the beautiful valley of Tamersc and reaches the plain of Pederu, suddenly finds himself confronted with an impassive mountainous arch. However, a number of excellent trails reach the extensive highlands; the largest of which corresponds to the mystical and legendary Fanes plateau, characterized by small ridge of Pass Limo and the eponymous lake in the Small and Large Malga Fanes. Definitely the most exciting part of the tour and the high altitude where we find ourselves pedaling for several kilometers surrounded by high peaks between which stands the giant Piz Tabuin. The path n. 11, which descends from the Col de Locia the Capanna Alpina, is a nightmare for the inexperienced and at the same time an attractive challenge for the more adventurous bikers. In fact, being able to go completely in the saddle of a bike this stretch of trail, narrow, steep and winding is very difficult undertaking. From Capanna Alpina we leave behind the technical difficulties and our itinerary gives us some oasis of peace and tranquility of the Val Badia. The Val Badia together with Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme and Val d'Ampezzo is part of the Ladin, the land where the language is spoken Ladin and keep special Ladin traditions. Lying at the foot of the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites, the Val Badia to its geographical position can be considered the "heart of the Dolomites."
Val Badia keeps in its mountain villages, ancient customs and traditions that accompany the traditions and religious festivals where you can see traditional costumes and you can taste the typical dishes Ladin as "les tutres or crafuns mori".
The harmony between the old and the new characterize countries and the structures of the valley in which we try to preserve the landscape as a valuable asset, both for the population, as well as for tourists. The farmer, especially in mountainous areas, with his work is definitely one of the main protagonists for the care and conservation of the landscape and the environment. Our long and pleasant journey back to the starting point on the path that winds inizilmente down to San Cassiano and La Villa, then the path of the Val Badia along the banks of the Rio Gadera up to Piccolino. From this village you take a beautiful trail through a dense thicket to culminate on the main road near Longega. Here closes the loop and ends one of the "classics" of the Dolomites ... a journey of rare beauty in front of which no one can remain indifferent.
