Routenbeschreibung

using the cableway Gran Sasso is possible to reach in few minutes the Observatory of Campo Imperatore, from which several tracks, some that link the high peaks of the Gran Sasso massif, others that glide along the sides of the mountains and bring downstream. Want to fatigue past either because you feel attacked occasionally by an immense hunger for downhill, it happens sometimes to have recourse to the means of ascent, however, that allow us to grind thousands of feet of elevation gain negative. Today I decided to tackle two lonely trails that represent a concentration of murderous views, adrenaline, technique and fun. At the ticket for the cable car Fonte Cerreto pay for two ski lifts and within minutes the yeast of about 1000m in altitude and I find myself at Campo Imperatore. The first single track that I face is definitely more challenging and risky second that I'm going to go later. The trail starts just below the upper cable car station and meanders in a myriad of first took place close to the Three Walloons, then passes on the Red Vein and ends in Fonte Cerreto. If I tried to describe every single plot, I'd be here talking about this track for a long time but this time I want to leave everything to the imagination of the reader. I only want to specify that it is a path of a certain difficulty, which presents some steps with exposure to ravines. For the rest of the single track is embodied in the continuous shores on a slippery surface in the upper part while the lower portion you will come across a fund more compact but no less technical and sometimes difficult. Who reads must be content with this brief summary of the path and go and just try to ... I repeat ... doing a lot of attention to every single step. As for the second run, we must of course take the cable car back to share 2130. This time, however, went out in the yard, you have to take a left and go along the Passo del Lupo. It 'a path that goes halfway towards Cefalone, then come to a crossroad where it stands a signal that indicates the Vallone della Portella. At this point the ribbon of film of Vein Red seems reroll but the film set change and not a little. We are on the path n. CAI 102, a single track of rare beauty, a cocktail of emotions that hardly a bikers manage to remove once inserted in the album of memories. And it is for this reason that, together with the Red Vein, omit categorically describe in detail the Vallone della Portella. These two trails, added together, they reach two thousand meters of elevation gain and loss as a spectacle and fun they can not be even remotely compared to artificial paths of the now so widespread bike parks. I have always natural trails that added value ... that aura of mystery and danger that make the priceless ticket.
