Routenbeschreibung

This event is part of the Circuit of the Maremma Tuscany and Lazio, where over the Argentario participate equally beautiful places of the Region of Lazio and Tuscany. As is well known the intent of the developers of the above circuit is to give importance to the sporting as well as also the relevance and natural landscape of the territories concerned by the various competitions, thus amplifying the tourist aspect. The route is challenging enough, but technical pedaled. With its 45 km with 1500 m of altitude, the path will traverse much of the dirt roads of the Argentario Promontory from Porto Santo Stefano Porto Ercole to get back to Porto Santo Stefano. Moving on to the foot of the Saracen watchtowers and to the side of the Spanish forts, the landscape shows itself in all its glory with breathtaking views ranging from the islands (Giannutri, Giglio, Montecristo, Elba Island, Pianosa) of ' Tuscan Archipelago, ai Monti dell'Uccellina, the Lagoon of Orbetello Ansedonia. The roads, dirt roads in 95% of the route are well made and in good state of maintenance, thereby reducing not only the difficulties "useless", but also the dangers of hiking trails and improperly extremely uneven. The numerous passages in the Mediterranean, will forget, for short periods, fatigue and give the impression of being in a fairytale world.
