Routenbeschreibung

Bellissimo (e lunghissimo) itinerario quasi tutto off-road.

Beautiful (and very long) route almost all off-road. Triumph of the crosscountry (mostly unpaved) with some taste to free-ride, 100% High Way of the Ligurian Mountains by step Calzavitello at the end of the high street itself, Ceparana.
55 km, 700 meters ascent, 2,000 (!!) meters of descent.
from the square of the ski slopes in resort zumzeri (1400 m asl). You leave after about 500 meters the asphalt down to the right on the ancient trail that connected the pace of the two saints to the valley floor before they built the modern road. MUCH overview of the paved road, though in some places a little too crunchy. Arriving at an altitude of about 850 resumes the pavement for a few miles, then back to the dirt road for 30 km until Ceparana! Long undulating section that is always around to 1000, he begins to fall until well after the Casoni! Great views along the entire path before the mountains of Liguria Levante and the Apuan Alps, then the Gulf of La Spezia.
For completeness, the track includes the arrival at the central station of La Spezia, to return home by train. Possibility to stay overnight at the refuge of zumzeri (328 2893612 or 0187 1855401) for those who want to get a bike at the starting point the day before without problems shuttle machines. Moreover, the route can be shortened by starting it one of the points of contact with asphalt roads (Calzavitello step, Step rake, Casoni) but the more you cut, the more you lose in beauty ... enjoy the ride!
