DESCRIZIONE:

DESCRIPTION: From the parking
of Pian d'Avena, Pedavena you go down to the junction to the Col Melon; From here we go back to the beautiful shady street with little traffic up to q. 980 where you leave the asphalt for a track which soon ends up on a dairy (B1 q. 1000). ... no you missed: just follow the faint grassy track for a 50-m ina then, in the woods the trail becomes more apparent; 50 other me is a second dairy from which it borrows the forest. This beautiful stretch allows you to work around the north side of the Col Melon and back on the road in wp C at q. 1040 (picnic area with benches). A few meters after you leave the asphalt still important for a forest road (known as the "troi of zeccona") that cuts stake in the north side / east of Mount Avena. Tortuous and swinging in the dense fir forest, it is easy to cycle almost to the end, where a deadly flight of a hundred meters we can appiedare. After the ramp you will come out on the road from Croce d'Aune up to Monte Avena.
NOTE: from here (wp D q. 1,120) you could easily cut your lap, dropping to near the junction L is less than 100 me continuing then on the track (halved length and height) .Hold end the main climb up to q. 1220 where there are ind. for a forest that goes off to the right.
Climb this (new road not charted) with good background and gradient only at times challenging, until you reach a large ski slope; takes to get on the cattle track that runs; fortunately it is a ski slope very easy and the slopes are never more than 15%. A q. 1440 the track meets and paves the path that will be used later for the descent. From here there is a round trip of about 1 Km to reach the farm in season alpine Campon that offers excellent dining options. Beyond that lies on the scenic plateau of Mount Avena and one can enjoy a 360 ° view of the Alps and Pre-Alps. Back in the wp G you take the steep trail that soon falls in the woods; exits near the Casera "The Hills" finding a nice forest; close to the bend, continue straight onto a steep and rough trail: for the less able it has a stretch of about 500 m path not ending in q. 1260 where there is a small 20 riparo.Ancora me leave the road to a trail clearly visible on the right. After a few hundred meters this widens and soon after started a forest that has at times a little background compact (hence evident that there is not any); in fact, q. 1020, ends with a slash. Here we find a nice little road that goes back to a well-maintained 70-ina m then descends to the confluence with the way Faller - Croce d'Aune, right to the chair lift. It rises gently to the junction L (referred to in the said Note) then you go down to the pace of Croce d'Aune. You take the first road to the ref. Piaz From and after 500 m you hold the narrow plain of dx (walk quite busy). In N2 (alt. 1070) is held to the right and starts to descend; after 250 m, attention to grasp the path to the right, barely visible. This sudden, unusual and delicious, arrives to meet a wider path cover present in q. 970 From the hill of Soladen a track that starts lower down is steep and rocky (prudence). In wp Q falls to the left of the road Norcen but we keep to the right and reach a large clearing with beautiful houses and barns.
Few more rides on this easy street and you will come out on the vast plain of Pian d'Avena .
