Il Monte Porezen (1.630 m s.l.m. è la montagna più alta delle Prealpi Slovene occidentali e di tutte le Prealpi Slovene. La salita avviene principalmente lungo pista forestale che parte da Petrovo Brdo. Inizialmente la pendenza è impegnativa (13%). Superato un villaggio la pista forestale ha termine e si deve proseguire tramite sentiero (tratti pedalabili con bici a spinta per 15/20 min) fino alla malga Otavnik. Superati un paio di cancelli inizia l'ultima faticosissima salita lungo la vecchia strada militare che porta alla cresta sommitale della montagna. In breve si raggiunge il rifugio e poi a piedi (5 min) la vetta. La cima del Porezen,è isolata e rende possibile ammirare un panorama a 360 gradi (indescrivibile!).La discesa per Petrovo Brdo avviene lungo un sentiero che percorre la cresta e poi si immerge in un magnifico bosco.
