Da Lama dei Peligni si scende per la SS 84 in direzione di Fara e, appena usciti dal paese, si prende la traversa sulla sx per il cimitero, lo si aggira e si percorre la carrozzabile (percorso mtb) lungo la pineta; quando si inizia a scendere, dopo un paio di km in salita, sotto un tornantino, si trova il cartello di legno con freccia che indica il monte Tarì.
Si sale per la carrozzabile che di lì a poco diviene sentiero e si deve affardellare la bici (in verticale) allo zaino per prepararci al portage: il sentiero purtroppo è avarissimo di segnavia e, poiché pochissimo frequentato, molto intricato per la folta vegetazione. Più in alto la situazione peggiora, molte le slavine che hanno fatto crollare gli alberi chiudendo il sentiero: per evitare i canali ostruiti ho dovuto aggirarli su canali di roccia e sfascuime dove ci si deve impegnare in arrampicata di I e II grado (con la bici in portage allo zaino) e su pendii erbosi dove è proibito scivolare!!!
Raggiunta la cresta del mote Tarì (io l'ho tagliata a quota 1730 mslm circa , invece che a 1467 vetta del monte Tarì,) gli immani sforzi per uscire dal bosco vengono ripagati dal panorama dell'affaccio sulla valle di Santo Spirito e Macchia Lunga, con la cresta che serpeggia fino a Cima dell'Altare e al monte Amaro, con le lunari rocce che contrastano con i verdi boschi!!!!
A quota 2000 mslm la decisione è presa: le forze in riserva e la rabbia per un sentiero dimenticato di così scenografica bellezza, mi costringono alla discesa verso il rifugio di Fonte del Tarì; tracce di sentiero in traverso per il colle Incotto (qualche omino e palina di legno gialla) ci riporteranno indietro di centinaia di anni, facendoci assaporare la solitudine dei pastori che a quota 1800 mslm misero i loro stazzi, in valli ancora oggi incontaminate e remote: siamo ai Fontanili, al centro dell'omonima valle.
Scendendo verso quota 1600 mslm si incontra un altro straordinario affaccio: quello sulla Valle Taranta, proprio sopra la grotta del Cavallone; di lì al rifugio Fonte del Tarì sono altri 100 m di discesa.
Da quota 1600 a Lama il sentiero diviene degno di protezioni e casco, e si inizia a godere delle fatiche della mattina nel bosco....sentiero prima molto flow e rilassante, tratti veloce; poi più interessante con tornantini tecnici e tratti di pietrisco...molto divertente!!
L'intenzione di raggiungere il monte Amaro per la cresta del Tarì rimane...., comunque, anche se ho mancato l'obbiettivo, ho potuto godere di luoghi quasi dimenticati di rara bellezza e pieni di quella cultura agro-pastorale da cui tutti sappiamo provenire!!!

By Lama Peligni you go down to the SS 84 in the direction of Fara and, just out of the village, take the road on the left for the cemetery, it is around and walk along the road (bike path) along the pine forest; when you start to go down after a couple of miles uphill, in one corner, there is a wooden sign with arrow pointing to the upstream Tarì.
salt to the road which soon becomes a path and you must affardellare bike (vertically) to the backpack to prepare for the portage: the path is unfortunately withal niggardly of trail, and since very little frequented, very intricate to the thick vegetation. The higher the situation worsens, many avalanches that brought down trees, closing the path: To avoid clogged the channels I had to get around on channels of rock and sfascuime where you must engage in climbing of grade I and II (with bike portage in backpack) and on grassy slopes where it is forbidden slip !!!
reached the crest of the mote Tarì (I cut about 1730m above sea level, rather than at 1467 peak of Mount Tarì,) the enormous efforts out of the woods are paid off by the panorama of the valley dell'affaccio of the Holy Spirit and Stain Long, with the ridge that winds up to the Altar Peak and Mount Amaro, with the moon rocks that contrast with the green forests !!!!
At an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level the decision is made: the forces in reserve and anger for a forgotten path so scenic beauty, force me to drop down to the shelter of the Source of Tarì; traces of the trail traverse the hill Incotto (some little man and yellow wooden pole) we bring you back hundreds of years, making us enjoy the solitude of shepherds at 1800 masl put their pens in the valleys still pristine and remote: we are at the Fountains at the center of the valley.
Going down to an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level overlooking meets another extraordinary: the Valley Taranta, just above the cave of the Breaker; from there to the hut Source of Tarì are another 100 m of descent.
Lama From 1600 to share the trail becomes worthy of pads and helmets, and you get to enjoy the labors of the morning in the woods .... very first flow path and relaxing, whether fast; then more interesting with hairpins and technical sections of gravel ... very funny !!
The intention of reaching the crest of Mount Amaro for Tarì remains ...., anyway, even if I missed the ' goal, I could enjoy almost forgotten places of rare beauty and full of the agro-pastoral culture from which we all know come !!!
