Accesso alla partenza: per raggiungere il punto di partenza di questo itinerario bisogna percorrere la superstrada E45 in direzione sud ed imboccare la seconda uscita di Sarsina,” SARSINA SUD “. Appena usciti dalla E45 si trova il ristorante “ Il Fagiolo d’Oro “ che costituisce il nostro punto d’inizio.Consigliamo di non sostare nel parcheggio del ristorante a meno che non vogliate approfittare del servizio dello stesso al termine della pedalata.
Descrizione: questo percorso ci consente di raggiungere la vetta più alta del comprensorio di Sarsina scalando uno stradello davvero impegnativo in questa stagione. Appena usciti dal parcheggio del ristorante si gira a sinistra sulla vecchia strada statale Umbro-Casentinese SS71 in direzione di Sarsina, quindi asfalto, per circa 1,5 km.Sarsina: tenacemente aggrappata ai fianchi di un'alta collina di sedimenti fluviali che domina la valle incisa dalle acque del Savio, Sarsina deve la sua nascita alla sua collocazione geografica, strategica per i collegamenti tra Tirreno ed Adriatico.Città di origine antichissima, fondata da popolazione di origine umbra tra il VI e il IV secolo a.C. Già nel III secolo a.C. Sarsina governava un grande stato al di qua e al di là del crinale appenninico che comprendeva alcune vallate romagnole e l'alto Tevere. L'economia del territorio era silvo-pastorale (lana, pelli, formaggi, legname).La prima data certa della storia sarsinate è quella della conquista da parte di Roma nel 266 a.C., dopo la quale diventò città federata e, quindi, Municipio.Nel 250 a.C. vi nacque Tito Maccio Plauto, il più grande commediografo latino di cui restano 21 commedie ancora oggi recitate con successo.La presenza del grande Museo Archeologico, della Basilica Concattedrale all'interno della quale è possibile ricevere la "Benedizione di San Vicinio" (che attualmente richiama decine di migliaia di pellegrini all'anno), le bellezze ambientali fanno di Sarsina un centro turistico di non secondaria importanza. Poco prima della salita che porta al paese troviamo una strada sterrata a sinistra con subito un grande cartellone che mostra i vari percorsi possibili, fate attenzione perché sarà l’unico cartello che troveremo.La strada è una larga carraia, attenzione transitano anche le auto, che in circa 2,9 km di salita con una pendenza media del 9,3%, ci porterà fino al bivio per Montalto (474 m.). Dopo una breve sosta , saltiamo nuovamente in sella risalendo la strada fino al solito tornante dopo la “ salita dell’omino” . Adesso ci aspetta una meritata discesa, quindi giù a tutta birra. Bisogna fare attenzione però a non oltrepassare il bivio per monte Facciano al …km, difficile da notare, proprio nel bel mezzo di un tornante a sinistra troviamo un passaggio attraverso uno steccato. Il sentiero non è facilmente identificabile: oltrepassato lo steccato bisogna salire verso monte ed entrare in un boschetto dentro il quale troviamo lo stradello che stiamo cercando.Le recenti piogge hanno reso il fondo molle e le numerose foglie d’autunno non facilitano la pedalata, Luce allunga, Zanna arranca e Fux resta indietro !! Il tracciato non concede soste, continua a salire con pendenza del …., oltre ogni curva ci aspetta un ostacolo radici, fango, pietre e cumuli di foglie e in completo stile Fantozziano al …. km abbiamo visto La Madonna. Finalmente dopo circa …km siamo in prossimità della vetta a quota 875 m s.l.m., l’entusiasmo è alle stelle e il panorama circostante ripaga di tutti gli sforzi compiuti. Una breve sosta e subito in sella per il viaggio di ritorno, la fretta di tornare però ci gioca un brutto scherzo: Zanna si butta a capofitto nella prima discesa che incontra piena di buche e fossi trasversali con subito dietro Luce, Fux come al solito più dietro si interroga sul percorso che infatti si rivela sbagliato. Il tracciato previsto avrebbe dovuto riportarci verso la partenza attraversando il bosco in direzione nord, mentre ora ci stiamo dirigendo ancora più a sud.Non fa niente l’importante è andare in discesa, quindi sempre giù fino alla strada statale Umbro-Casentinese SS71 che incontriamo dopo ….km dalla partenza. Non resta altro che percorrere ….km di strada statale in direzione nord per ritrovare il punto di partenza di questo impegnativo ed emozionante viaggio sulle colline di Sarsina.

Access to starting point: to get to the starting point of this route should follow the E45 highway towards the south and take the second exit of Sarsina, "SARSINA SUD". The planned route was supposed to bring us back to the starting point through the forest to the north, but now we are moving farther sud.Non does anything it is important to go downhill, and always down to the main road SS71 Umbro-Casentinese we meet after ... .KM from the start. Do nothing but go ... .KM of the highway heading north to find the starting point of this challenging and exciting journey in the hills of Sarsina.
