Escursione non particolarmente impegnativa ma nel contempo divertente e panoramica, insomma una soluzione all mountain indicata per chi vuole esplorare la zona di Prato Selva senza necessariamente solcare le classiche piste del bike park. Si percorrono in salita una decina di km su bitume, da Fano Adriano all’albergo di Prato Selva, ove si imbocca la strada brecciata per il Colle Abetone. Prendendo il sentiero Sentiero Italia si raggiunge, previo un breve tratto in portage, il Piano San Pietro. Dei tecnici passaggi su roccia arenaria precedono l’arrivo al Rifugio del Monte ubicato alla fine dell’omonimo fossato. Rientrando nella boscaglia, una divertente pista attraversa il bosco Vadillo e la Piana Grande entrando nel Fosso Venacquaro. Si continua in direzione Intermesoli quando, in prossimità di una palina C.A.I. si devia a sx verso le Coste Farinello. Circa cento metri di dislivello in salita ci separano dall’incrocio con l’antica Via Fanese, un trail molto divertente, un tempo frequentata via pastorale per i pascoli d’altura.

It continues in the direction Intermesoli when, in the vicinity of a pole CAI you turn left towards the Coasts Farinello. About a hundred meters of ascent separate us from the intersection with the ancient Via Fanese, a very fun trail, once a popular way for pastoral mountain pastures.
