Oggi gran giro in solitaria meditato da mesi.
Pressochè privo di difficoltà tecniche, si parte da Montorio al Vomano in pullman in modo da eliminare il problema recupero auto e si arriva al piazzale dei Prati di Tivo dove prendo in direzione Cima Alta. Arrivato alla Croce col Cristo, ci si gode un pò il panorama e poi giù per il bosco in direzione ovest, proprio sotto il paretone del Corno Grande.
Dopo poco, mentre si scende tra i boschi, si avverte un'inquietante presenza sulla destra e alzando lo sguardo si scorge tra gli alberi l'imponenza del Gran Sasso visto proprio dalla base...fa impressione. Si attraversano diversi fossi quasi secchi in questo periodo finchè si arriva a Fonte Nera non prima di un bel pezzo di discesa veloce. Pausa pit stop e ripartendo, poco dopo si arriva ad un bivio e prendo la destra salendo avendo di fronte la Valle dell'Inferno che incute timore al solo guardarla. Continuo fino ad incontrare un tratto pianeggiante molto lungo e rilassante sopra un lastricato di cemento che suppongo sia una condotta del Ruzzo o qualcosa del genere. Vado bello spensierato fino ad arrivare all'ultimo dei vari fossi che si incontrano...incredibilmente pieno di sassi, vado per attraversarlo ma mi accorgo che dall'altra parte il sentiero non c'è più.
MI SI FA NOTTE...il gps indica di proseguire dritto avanti a me, ma non c'è nulla oltre il fosso. Indietro non posso tornare e quindi getto lo sguardo tutto attorno fino a notare in alto dei nastrini tipo quelli da cantiere bianco/rosso annodati sugli alberi. E' ovvio che stanno li per indicare la direzione da seguire...ringrazio l'ignoto benefattore e riparto, ma per un tratto di circa 100 metri mi tocca arrampicarmi su un ripido pendio fino a ritrovarmi sul lastricato di cemento. Di li in poi tutto liscio come l'olio ed arrivato allo chalet di San Pietro, nel mentre mi fermavo per raccogliere acqua fresca, noto tra le molte persone che stavano a fare a bicchieri due miei colleghi di lavoro e mi intrattengo per una mezz'oretta a chiacchierare ed a godermi il belvedere li dietro. Partendo penso che oramai è tutto tranquillo fino a casa ed invece il tratto di asfalto tra Villa Petto e Montorio mi danno la mazzata finale...tutta controvento e le gambe non andavano più.
Stanco ma soddisfatto.

Continuously until you reach a level stretch very long and relaxing over a paved concrete which I suppose is a conduct of Ruzzo or something. Vado beautiful carefree until the last of the various ditches that meet ... incredibly full of stones, I'm going to cross it but I realize that the other side of the path is no more.
MI IS THE NIGHT. ..the gps tells you to go straight forward to me, but there is nothing beyond the ditch. I can not go back and then I glance all around and notice those type at the top of the ribbons by the yard white / red knotted trees. It 'obvious that they are there to indicate the direction to follow ... thank the unknown benefactor and distribution, but for a stretch of about 100 meters I have to climb up a steep slope up to find myself on the pavement concrete. From there on, everything smoothly and arrived at the cabin of St. Peter, in the meantime I stopped to collect fresh water, known among the many people who were making glasses in two of my colleagues and I entertain for half ' hour or so to chat and to enjoy the belvedere behind them. Starting now I think it's quiet all the way home and instead the stretch of asphalt between Villa Chest and Montorio I give the final blow ... the whole upwind legs and walked no more.
Tired but satisfied.
