PREMESSA
Questo itinerario si sviluppa a cavallo della linea di confine che corre alta e parallela alla statale 55, detta del "Vallone", che collega Gorizia a Monfalcone.
Il tracciato è fattibile solo dopo l'ingresso della Slovenia nell'area Schengen (21-12-2007). Prima di tale storica data, nell'area interessata dal percorso l'unico varco d'ingresso verso la Slovenia era il valico di 2a categoria di Devetachi, presidiato dalla Guardia di Finanza italiana e dalla Polizia slovena ed usufruibile solo dai transfrontalieri muniti di apposito lasciapassare (ancor oggi rimane l'unico percorribile dalle automobili). Il nostro itinerario oggi invece supera la linea di confine in ben 4 punti diversi, su sentieri, sterrate o percorsi agricoli.
La caratteristica principale di questo tracciato, senza nulla togliere alle bellezze offerte dal territorio carsico (l’autunno è un caleidoscopio di colori sgargianti ), è proprio questo continuo entrare ed uscire liberamente da uno stato all'altro. Fare questo prima del 21-12-2007 significava rischiare di incorrere in grossi problemi.
Ultimo appunto: anche se non esistono più i controlli sulla linea di confine, non dimenticate di portare con voi sempre e ovunque la carta d'identità.

INTRODUCTION Login This itinerary is astride the boundary line that runs parallel to the state high and 55, known as the "Valley", which connects Gorizia in Monfalcone.
The track is feasible only after the entry of Slovenia in 'Schengen area (21-12-2007). Prior to this historical date, the area affected by the path the only entrance gate to Slovenia was the point of the second category of Devetachi headed by the Italian Guardia di Finanza and the Police and for exclusive use by the Slovenian border provided with a special pass (even today remains the only viable from cars). Our route today it exceeds the boundary line in less than 4 different places, trails, dirt paths or agricultural.
The main feature of this track, without detracting from the beauty offered by the karst area (autumn is a kaleidoscope of bright colors), it is precisely this continual come and go freely from one state to another. Do this before 21-12-2007 meant risking running into big problems.
Last note: although there are no more controls on the boundary line, do not forget to take with you anywhere, anytime identity card.
