PREMESSA
La prima parte del presente itinerario si snoda sulle pendici di una delle alture tristemente famose per le battaglie e le perdite umane che purtroppo hanno segnato il territorio di Gorizia durante il conflitto mondiale del 15-18: il monte Calvario-Podgora. Sulla sua sommità svariate lapidi e monumenti testimoniano quelle drammatiche vicende.
Mentre la prima parte del tracciato si percorre pressoché avvolti da una rigogliosissima vegetazione di castagni, robinia, ontano, rovere, la seconda esce allo scoperto e ci accompagnano nella nostra fatica le colline del Collio , ricoperte da ordinatissimi filari di vite dai cui frutti si ricavano (tra) i migliori vini bianchi d'Italia (o del mondo?).

INTRODUCTION
The first part of this route winds on the slopes of the heights sadly famous for the battles and the loss of life that unfortunately have marked the territory of Gorizia during World War 15-18: Mount Calvary-Podgora. On its summit several tombstones and monuments bear witness to the dramatic events.
While the first part of the route you take almost surrounded by a luxuriant vegetation of chestnut, black locust, alder, oak, the second comes out and accompany us in our effort to the Collio hills, covered with tidy rows of vines whose fruits are derived from (among) the best white wines of Italy (or the world?).
