Si sale al valico di Fossato di Vico passando per la Fraz. Campodiegoli e poi per un percorso MOLTO tecnico che evita di fare la strada asfaltata e che porta al Valico costeggiando il Sasso della Rocca e scendendo verso ilfondovalle del fosso Rigo e dei Trocchi della Canalecchia.
Si sale fino alla cima del monte per poi scendere in un ST stretto e tecnico.
Poi si scende sempre in un percorso pericolo e tecnico e si arriva alla base della strada di valico in disuso nel versante umbro, vicino ad un tabernacolo, e si sale per 2 Km su asflato.
Arrivati sulla sommità del Valico, presso un bar/albergo in disuso, si gira a destra sulla sterrata che sale costeggiando il Colle Aiale per arrivare fino alla base della Cima Mutali ove vi è un ripetitore e 2 generatori Eolici, i più grossi ed alti in Italia.
Dalla Cima Mutali seguento il GPS si scende con una traccia ripida (22%) e tecnica per arrivare prima al rifugio dei cacciatori e poco dopo alle sorgenti del Giano (come l'altro itnerario da me pubblicato) e tornare al punto di partenza.
LE TRACCE GPS NON SOSTITUISCONO IN ALCUN MODO L'USO DI UNA CARTA TOPOGRAFICA DELLA ZONA.
L'uso della traccia GPS non toglie l'obbligo di andare in escursione con la massima
prudenza e le attenzioni che questo tipo di attività necessità.
