Il Gruppo ciclistico di Matelica () ancora una volta vi porta alla scoperta dei sentieri del Monte San Vicino con la sua varietà di ambienti naturalistici , paesaggistici e geologici .
Si percorre per 11 Km la strada di asfalto ( in salita ma molto panoramica ) che da Matelica porta al Monte San Vicino. Si giunge alla croce delle Aie di Macciano da dove si può ammirare un meraviglioso panorama che comprende tutta l’alta valle dell’Esino. Seguendo la traccia gps si devia a destra su uno sterrato da dove si imbocca il sentiero per la gola del Sasso Forato ambiente molto particolare e selvaggio in cui il Biker si trova la via ostruita da un imponente massiccio roccioso. Solo dopo una più attenta osservazione si scoprirà uno strettissimo passaggio tra le rocce in cui i Bikers riusciranno a passare , trovandosi così nella valle sottostante.
Dopo un breve tratto di carrareccia si arriva all’Acqua dell’Olmo ( località famosa per la qualità delle acque che sgorgano abbondanti da una fonte sia d’estate che d’inverno) da dove inizia un fantastico ma impegnativo sentiero fino all’Abbazia di Roti. Da qui si ritorna a Braccano con una piccola variante ( single trek molto tecnico ) che costeggia la gola di Jana (altra località di rilevante interesse naturalistico) .

The Group cycling Matelica () once again takes you to discover the trails of Mount San Vicino with its variety of natural environments, landscapes and geological.
It runs for 11 km asphalt road (uphill but very scenic ) that Matelica to Monte San Vicino. It comes to the cross of Aie of Macciano from where you can admire a wonderful panorama that includes the upper valley dell'Esino. Following the track gps turn right onto a dirt road where you take the trail to the gorge of the Sasso Forato very special environment and landscape, where the Biker is the way blocked by an imposing rock massif. Only after closer inspection you will find a narrow passage between the rocks where the Bikers will be able to pass, thereby making the valley below.
After a short stretch of dirt track you get to Water Elm (famous for its quality of the waters that flow from an abundant source of both summer and winter) from where it begins a fantastic but challenging trail up to the Abbey of Roti. From here we return to Braccano with a little variation (single trek very technical) that runs along the throat of Jana (other places of great natural interest).
