Routenbeschreibung

The Monte Guaidone (m.1647) is placed between the Pian Pian Piccolo and Grande di Castelluccio di Norcia. Little used, is at least worthy of attention for his role as "balcony" on the Pian Grande and the Fosso dei Mergani, a large fissure karst coinvoglia rainwater into a deep sinkhole. It reaches Forca di Presta for the Valley of the Bonanno and Vallone, taking the paved road shortly after Casotto Amati. From the Rifugio ANA go along the road flanked by more than 3 km from the Path for All (trail accessible to different categories of disabled people, a unique example in Europe) to its end. From here, a path to the ridges of Mount Macchialta, you reach the saddle of Colle del Lupo, the Hill of the EESC with the homonymous refuge, crossing the slopes of Forca Canapine to the parking lot asphalt beneath Mount Chapel. From the area of ??the lifts begin the road to Pian Piccolo that we follow in part for leaving it on permanently for the last ascent of Mount Guaidone. The trail is more strenuous for the presence of grass on the slope, followed by the left flank of the mountain, before then in beech forest on scenic lawns, to the opposite side (the wonderful view of 360 degrees). After a quick descent on steep grassy you come to the ruins of Torraccia (or New Tower or even Cavaliera), probably built in the second half of 1300 to guard the pastures. The final descent on a narrow and sometimes invisible path, you will return to the Valley of the Bonanno and the point of departure.
