Da Bagni di Valdieri, imboccata la sterrata chiusa al traffico, si risale la rotabile militare che porta al magnifico Pian del Valasco, dove la casa di caccia in pianta quadra dei Savoia, è stata riattata a rifugio-ristorante.
Superato il piano, la pendenza e il dissesto rendono più impegnativo stare in sella, una frana deve essere superata bici al seguito.
