Questo è un giro XC piuttosto facile, adatto a chiunque, composto per il 99% da sterrato. Non è particolarmente lungo, 5,6 km, ma offre molte possibilità di collegarsi ad altri percorsi.
L’inizio è dietro l’aeroporto di Villanova dove c’è il ponte che porta a Ortovero.
Prima di attraversare il ponte, guardando la collina vedrete una strada che va in salita. Quello è l’inizio del percorso. Il sentiero è ampio e non presenta difficoltà. Bisogna solo stare attenti perche si possono incrociare incrociare altri mezzi (apecar dei contadini, moto da cross).
Per i primi 3 km si va sempre dritti con un continuo e piacevole saliscendi. Si arriva così al Bivio 1. Se si decide di proseguire dritti ci si ritrova entro breve nella zona di Pogli.
Invece noi saliamo verso destra. La salita è piuttosto difficile, perché piuttosto ripida. Parecchie volte si dovrà scendere e spingere. Dopo circa 1,5 km si arriva al secondo bivio. Girando verso destra in salita, non ho idea di dove si arrivi. Proseguimo verso sinistra dove il percorso inizia ad essere un po’ più pianeggiante, si supera dopo un po’ un piccolo cimitero sulla nostra sinistra e si arriva così a Marmoreo.
