Lasciata la macchina all’altezza del cimitero di Maderno, si imbocca la gardesana direzione Riva. Al primo ponte si gira a sinistra e si prosegue in salita per Gaino. Dopo qualche km, la strada diventa sterrata e si prosegue percorrendo la salita del Palazzo che è costante e abbastanza impegnativa. Si continua, tenendo d’occhio la traccia, sino a giungere alla stalla dove ci sarà la biforcazione o per il Pizzoccolo o per il rifugio Pirlo e quindi il sentiero dei Ladroni. Si sceglie per quest’ultimo e lo si fa in discesa sino alla fine del sentiero dove gireremo a destra per il rifugio Campei. Ancora un tratto di dura salita e finalmente giungiamo alla nostra meta. Non illudiamoci perché la discesa non sarà subito agilissima. Il giro è xc ma alcuni tratti si fanno a piedi a meno che non si abbia un full o una AM. Al rifugio guardando la chiesetta prendiamo il sentiero che si vede salire di fianco direzione Campei De Font. La percorriamo tutta con una bella visuale della valle sino a ricollegarci da dove siamo saliti. Si terminerà in discesa sino a Maderno.

Leaving the car at the cemetery of Maderno, take the direction of Garda Riva. At the first bridge, turn left and continue uphill for Gaino. After a few miles, the road becomes a dirt road and continue along the edge of the building that is constant and quite challenging. Continue, keeping an eye on the track, until you reach the barn where there will be a bifurcation or the Pizzoccolo or for the refuge Pirlo and then the path of Thieves. He chooses the latter and you do down to the end of the path where we turn right to the shelter Campei. A stretch of tough climb and finally arrive at our destination. Make no mistake because the descent will not immediately be agile. The ride xc but some parts are made on foot unless you have a full or a PM. At the shelter looking at the church we take the path that you see go up next direction Campei De Font. Follow the road with a beautiful view of the valley up to reconnect with where we went. It will end in downhill until Maderno.
