Discesa e rientro a Menaggio.

S. Love from Menaggio
From the center of Menaggio, take the road to the upper lake and head towards Santa Maria Rezzonico, in large part, on the old road to the lake, much more attractive and ideal for bike. Once at the church of Santa Maria near Santa Maria Rezzonico, leave the main road and start climbing the mountains. Initially following the signs for the town la Torre, and below to Roncate begins to climb quite easily, then passing near the towns of Soriano and Lucena. Once the deviation and the indications for Treccione, turn right and continue uphill following the signs to the Mountains of Gallio. Never take other deviations proceed uphill until you get to the huts Zanatta and a large grassy clearing. This whole first part of the climb, initially pedaled enough, here it becomes quite challenging and with a few bends with inclinations incurred. From Alpe Zanatta, with logic, we proceed now always on asphalt towards the last refuges high and you will soon reach the end of the paved section and the beginning of the dirt road. All this second part of the climb takes place along a wide, wide cartway with packed. (Possibility along this dirt road, a stop at Alpe Rescascia).
Along this stretch of dirt road, the beautiful view of the lake, it remains at this point, once you reach the ridge of Bregagno, take the path on the left down to the little church of S. Love here and now enjoy a well deserved break and prolonged break.
Descent and return to Menaggio.
This second proposal requires a good predisposition to a descent and a transverse non-trivial.
From the little church of S. Love, or go back on the back or along the trail, you fall a little further on the same dirt road, but this time going in the direction of Val Senagra and L ' Alpe Nesdale. Giunta Alpe, initially along the cable car down and then enter the path leading to the Alpe Erba. (Some parts are not paths) Joints Alpe Grass, go down the road of Val Senagra, but only for a short stretch, then down to the left on the bottom of the valley, cross the creek and begin the long traverse. For a long stretch, you have to push and follow up the bike, as the path is narrow and very steep, with some step by paying attention, and all this to Alpe Varò. Attention here! Alpe but not head down to the bottom of the valley, cross a stream and still now resume the cross that gradually becomes more and more smooth and pedaled for most traits. It passes under the ridge of the Grona, and below you get to the huts above Breglia. Once on the track that descends to the village, you can take a detour to an obvious trail that descends to Ligomena. Once back on the paved road down to the valley and you will soon get to Menaggio.
For this tour, you require a good physical preparation and adequate preparation to a constant and prolonged physical effort, with regard to the uphill, downhill and a good technique so much but really want to tackle a route out of the box common and traditional, the second part, since the cross, spread largely across one side of Val Senagra very wild and isolated.
