La prima parte del percorso quasi tutta su asfalto(tranne un parte su strada bianca), asfalto che viene abbandonato dopo l'abitato di Quorle dove inizia un saliscendi non molto tecnico,dopo,nella parte prima del castello si percorre una sassicaia in discesa coperta in autunno da uno spesso strato di foglie che rendono difficile vedere il fondo, una volta arrivati al castello si percorre una stradina lastricata piuttosto ripida e con diversi tornanti in contropendenza, percorre questo tratto può rivelarsi difficoltoso in caso di fondo umido o bagnato a causa della pietra.A questo punto ci si reimmette nella statale che ci riporta a Pratovecchio.
