Si parte da Foligno, si prosegue per Spello la valle del Rio Chiona. Si sale fino a Collepino lungo l'erta detta dell'ascensore. Raggiunta la provinciale Spello Collepino si arriva alla frazione di Collepino (rifornimento acqua). Si prosegue sempre sulla provinciale e al primo bivio si prende uno sterrato a sinistra e lo si prosegue fino ad arrivare ad una fonte. Da qui si prosegue su sentiere in forte pendenza fino a raggiundere in rifugio Madonna della Spella. Si prosegue sulla strada ampia in terra battuta che proviene da Spello e sale fino alla cima del Subasio. Al primo tornante dopo circa 800m da Madonna della Spella si abbandona la strada sterrata e si prende a sinistra su un single track che a mezza costa porta fino agli "Stazzi", i prati del Subasio sopra Assisi e oltre l'Eremo delle Carceri. Arrivati alla strada che sale al Subasio per chi proviene da Assisi si arriva al primo tornante si oltrepassa la sbarra si lascia la strada principale e si prosegue a mezza costa. Dopo un tratto in falso piano la carrareccia inizia a scendere fino a raggiungere dopo qualche Km la strada asfaltata, la provinciale Costa di Trex - Spello. Siamo sul retro del Subasio. Si prosegue la strada provinciale fino a raggiungere e superare località S.Giovanni, si prosegue fino al Bivio per Valtopina. Si prende la Direzione Valtopina e dopo circa 100m subito a destra su strada sterrata. Prima in discesa poi sale circa 200-300m e si prende al primo bivio a destra per la valle del Rio Chiona. Si resta sempre sulla carrareccia principale fino a tornare nella zona di Spello e si prosegue verso Foligno per la fine del giro.

Arriving at the road that goes to the Subasio for those coming from Assisi to reach the first bend, beyond the bar you leave the main road and go halfway. After a stretch in the false floor the cart begins to drop after a few Km until you reach the paved road, the provincial Costa di Trex - Spello. We are on the back of Subasio. Continue the road until you reach and exceed resort St. John, continue to the crossroads for Valtopina. Take the direction Valtopina and after about 100m just to the right of the dirt road. Before then goes down about 200-300m and take the first turning on the right into the valley of the Rio Chiona. It remains on the cart track leading up to back in the area of ??Spello and Foligno to continue towards the end of the tour.
