La Finestra di Cignana è un super classico per la Valtournenche. Ne propongo qui la versione integrale con uno sviluppo notevole ma praticamente tutto pedalabile in off road e con discese molto divertenti. E' in alternativa e completamento a questo
Partenza da La Magdeleine, 700 m di discesa gratuiti su mulattiera-single track (vd altri miei itinerari). Da Antey seguendo la traccia si riesce ad evitare quasi completamente l'asfalto della regionale passando pero' per il Col de St. Pantaleon prima e des Bornes dopo attraverso bellissimi boschi incantati (al col des Bornes la traccia fa un loop che si puo' tranquillamente evitare). Da qui lunghissima pedalata risalendo completamente il Rue di Verrayes lungo l'AV 1 (è un po' più dura del normale tracciato che parte da Chantorné ma secondo me molto meglio, meno battuto e più panoramico). Qualche tornante prima di Gillarey cmq ci si ricongiunge. Banali su e giù ci portano finalmente al lago di Cignana prima e all'omonima finestra dopo (spallata da 150m).
Foto, un po' di riposo, protezioni e via lungo il 107 fino a Perreres. Un po' di relax lungo il fantastico nr 8 praticamente in piano fino a Promoron, vd anche questo
Qui viene il pezzo forte del giro. Anzichè scendere per il noto 1 si spalla per 15-20' fino a Falegnon dove troveremo la deviazione per il nr 2 dove ci aspetta il paradiso del rider. Tecnico ma mai troppo, bellissimi tratti con moquette di aghi di pino, un tracciato ardito ma eseguito alla perfezione con tornantini puliti e da manuale. Un capolavoro. Dopo Mont Menè ci si puo' rilassare un po' e in un attimo siamo al lago di Maen dove x sterrati (la traccia segue la regionale solo per motivi di tempo) andiamo a prendere la funivia di Chamois. 1,6€ e senza fatica saremo a destinazione dopo aver percorso la ciclabile fino alla partenza.

Departure from La Magdeleine, 700 m descent on free-single track trail (vd my other routes). From Antey roading it manages to avoid almost completely the asphalt of the regional passing but 'to the Col de St. Pantaleon before and after des Bornes through beautiful enchanted woods (to Col des Bornes track makes a loop that you can' safely avoid). From here long ride going completely Rue Verrayes along the AV 1 (it is a bit 'harder than the normal route starts from Chantorné but in my opinion much better, less traveled and more scenic). A few hairpin before it joins Gillarey cm ². Commonplace up and down finally lead us to the lake of the same name Cignana before and after window (shoulder to 150m).

Here comes the highlight of the tour. Rather than go down to the well-known one is the shoulder for 15-20 'until Falegnon where we will find the turnoff for the No. 2 where we expect the rider's paradise. But never too technical, beautiful traits with carpet of pine needles, a path daring but executed to perfection with hairpins clean and by the book. A masterpiece. After Mont Menè you can 'relax a bit', and in a moment we are at the lake where x Maen dirt (the track follows the regional only for reasons of time) we're going to take the cable car of Chamois. € 1.6 and effortlessly we'll be at your destination after traveling along the path until departure.
