Altamente raccomandato per gli stupendi scenari , che si susseguono continuamente (il treno che sale la vallata rallenta in alcuni punti per permettere ai turisti di fotografare e filmare). Si percorre la vallata attraversata dall'omonimo famoso tratto ferroviario , la ferrovia (non a cremagliera) più pendente d' Europa, frequentata prevalentemente da turisti. Si parte da Flam , la stazione ferroviaria di Flam ha vicino ampi parcheggi . Si arriva alla stazione di Myrdal, poche case vicino , nessuna strada, solo un'altro sentiero, che a 1 km dalla meta devia a sinistra verso un gruppo di case e un albergo, probabilmente scende a Voss , ma da lì o si torna in treno ripassando per Myrdal o qualcuno deve venirci a prendere . Si può salire a Myrdal in mtb e scendere in treno, ma il biglietto è un po' caro : solo discesa 250 corone, 32 euro per 20 km . Il percorso inizia con un discreto tratto asfaltato, poi sterrato via via più stretto, non presenta difficoltà tecniche particolari, eccetto nell'ultimo tratto di due km : pendenza 16 % con fondo sconnesso, la maggior parte dei bikers spinge la bici a mano ... attenzione con la pioggia nel ritorno sul tratto in pendenza per la scivolosità dei sassi . Se il tempo è incerto è bene portarsi qualche capo impermeabile, il tempo in quota può cambiare in fretta.
