Routenbeschreibung

From the little church of San Martino I have walked the famous superenduro Finale on the paths of single trek of Capazoppa.
The ring connection to the bike (and possibly walk) seems broken from the new quarry, but if you want you go (there are signals and signs prohibiting obviously but it goes upstream of the quarry, or even through a terracing of the same), not better in a week, but on Saturday and Sunday when the quarry is in operation.
Route description: From
'ancient port of Finalborgo Pora cross the river, turn left onto the road and after a few hundred meters you come right at the beginning of the Napoleonic road, built in the late 18th century to allow the transit of the artillery of the Great Armee, the track is actually much older than tracing an old medieval route set on the ancient Roman road Via Julia Augusta.
The event takes place on dirt roads and trails climbing gradually through the vegetation that is well suited to the terrain arid and calcareous you to the Regina Pacis chapel with a view on the plain of the Final Act and its beaches; we are now approaching the coastline and then take a share surpassing the old quarry (see photo documenting the order of extraction that was used at the time) and reaching a broad plateau. (great picnic spot). From a picnic you can get off on the right track initially staircase which then becomes a path on the edge of the path but not spectacular
if you continue safely to the north, we are now on the side that faces Verezzi and in the background here is the outline of 'Gallinara Island and the promontory of Capo Santa Croce.
Continuing on an ancient pavement background you come to a junction, turn right to the Old Quarry one of the few sites of extraction of stone Verezzi cultivated in the gallery.
Continuing meet other old quarries, work in them reached its highest development in the 20th century, when more than 100 miners were working in the various mining sites.
Continuing on the paved mule track that leads into the forest to reach the summit ridge and the square of the Church of St. Martin (former Benedictine church of the year one thousand) and the sanctuary Maria Regina Mundi. Portrait Of here or return to Finalborgo or weather permitting takes a deviation of 1 hour and you can visit the old villages of 4 Verezzi characterized by pink stone buildings connected by narrow alleyways. Or you go down Verezzi, we reach the paved road and climb another beautiful paved recovering at a chapel of the Madonna revived in ancient times by an "exiled countess who hung around these trails in solitude with his brushes and palette) hence, it regains the Church of San Martino arriving there on the other side. For the descent you can sbizzarire different options that offer trails Caprazoppa, sometimes you end up in a cul de sac at some old quarry, you retrace your steps back like a maze and at the end it comes down to the starting point.
back to the junction of St. Martin through the pine forests in the Rock of Orera and mount them Caprazoppa you fall in Finalborgo closing the loop hike.
