Mutevole e variegato, il corso del fiume Piave ha plasmato il territorio conferendo ad esso aspetti unici e sempre diversi; anche la zona a nord di Belluno non sfugge a questa caratteristica, presentando luoghi, ambienti e terreni profondamente differenti tra loro che - grazie alla mountain bike - possono essere esplorati senza troppe difficoltà.
Il tour parte da Borgo Piave, l’antico porto fluviale di Belluno, imboccando subito il tortuoso single track delle Fontane di Nogarè attraverso una zona umida ricca di risorgive. A San Pietro in Campo il percorso si allontana dal fiume raggiungendo il Sentiero delle Chiesette Pedemontane, un itinerario storico-religioso ai piedi del Monte Serva che conduce a Polpet dopo aver scollinato per due volte ed aver affrontato altrettante tecniche discese.
Le grave di Pian di Vedoia riportano verso il Piave, che viene attraversato sulla diga di Soverzene, laddove inizia il settore più caratteristico del tour: si percorre infatti un suggestivo passaggio scavato nella viva roccia, tra tunnel e passerelle a strapiombo sul Piave, un tempo usato per la manutenzione degli impianti idroelettrici; in prossimità di una larga forestale il camminamento prosegue ancora, adesso più ardito data l’assenza di protezioni, passando sotto la Parete dei Falchi. Il sentiero proseguirebbe ancora lungo la Falesia della Passerella, ma alcuni smottamenti costringono a deviare sulla sottostante mulattiera verso Soccher.
Il tour continua con la sua erta più impegnativa, quella per Cugnan, scendendo poi ancora nella golena del Piave con la divertente discesa di Piaia. Con la vista che si apre ora sul Monte Serva e i Monti del Sole, l’itinerario sale dolcemente tra prati e campi fino a Sossai, toccando strada facendo la scenografica Villa Miari Fulcis di Modolo. Nel finale viuzze e stradine secondarie si alternano rientrando a Belluno.

Mutable and varied, the Piave River has shaped the territory giving it some unique and always different; also the area north of Belluno no exception to this characteristic, showing places, environments and terrains very different from each other that - thanks to the mountain bike - can be explored without much difficulty.
The tour starts from Borgo Piave, the ancient river port of Belluno, immediately taking the winding single track of the Fountains of Nogarè through a wetland area rich in springs. A San Pietro in Campo path moves away from the river, reaching the foothills Chiesette Trail, a historical-religious at the foot of Monte Serva leading to Polpet after scollinato twice, and having faced many technical descents.
The grave of Pian di Vedoia report to the Piave, which is crossed on the dam Soverzene, where begins the industry's most characteristic feature of the tour: drive in fact a striking passage dug into the rock through tunnels and walkways overlooking the Piave, a time used for the maintenance of hydroelectric plants; in the vicinity of a large forest the walkway still continues, now more hardy given the absence of protections, passing under the wall of the Hawks. The trail would continue on along the walkway of Falesia, but some landslides forced to deviate below the mule track to Soccher.
The tour continues with its steep most challenging one for Cugnan, then down again in the floodplain of the Piave the fun descent Piaia. With the view that it is now open on Mount Serva and the Monti del Sole, the route climbs gently through meadows and fields up to Sossai, touching on the way the spectacular Villa Miari Fulcis namesake. In the final alleys and side streets alternate way back to Belluno.
