Il Bus del Gias, una cavità naturale talmente stretta e profonda che ghiaccio e neve permangono al suo interno per tutto l’anno, e il Col dei Scios, un vasto pianoro ondulato ricco di pascoli che deve il suo nome alla presenza di reperti fossili detti “s’cios”, sono due tra le attrattive più interessanti dell’altopiano del Cansiglio.

L’itinerario, che tocca entrambi questi luoghi, parte dal centro della Piana del Cansiglio addentrandosi poi in Val Cappella, scendendo successivamente verso Valsalega su di una ripida mulattiera. Percorse poche centinaia di metri sulla strada provinciale ci si addentra nel fitto bosco risalendo con dolci pendenze la scarpata meridionale dell’altopiano.

Raggiunta Casera Brusada l’ambientazione cambia radicalmente, con il panorama che si apre verso sud offrendo una grandiosa vista sulla pianura veneta e friulana fino a scorgere il mare all’orizzonte. La salita, lunga ma mai impegnativa, prosegue lungo questa suggestiva balconata fino alla zona del Bus del Gias, giro di boa del percorso, dove una breve deviazione permette di raggiungere l’anfratto dalla neve perenne.

Le ultime, brevi risalite anticipano la veloce discesa nei boschi verso Casera Ceresera: si imbocca qui il segnavia 991, un difficile sentiero caratterizzato da passaggi tecnici e qualche punto non ciclabile, che permette di raggiungere le distese prative del vicino Col dei Scios.

Ritornato nel bosco, l’itinerario affronta la breve erta del rifugio Maset scendendo poi verso il valico de La Crosetta; imboccata la classica e piacevole strada della Candaglia, il tour si conclude sul divertente Sentiero degli Slipari che riporta al Pian Cansiglio.

Nel finale, a poche centinaia di metri dalla conclusione, una deviazione a piedi permette di raggiungere il Bus de la Lum (della luce), la foiba utilizzata dai partigiani per le esecuzioni sommarie di soldati tedeschi e della Repubblica Sociale Italiana durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale.

The Bus Gias, a natural cavity so deep and narrow that ice and snow remain inside throughout the year, and the Col of Scios, a vast undulating plateau of rich pastures owes its name to the presence of fossils called "s'cios," are two of the most interesting attractions of the Cansiglio plateau.
The tour, which touches both of these places, from the center of the Plain Cansiglio winding through Valley Chapel, falling subsequently to Valsalega on a steep trail. He walked a few hundred meters on the main road which goes into the dense forest with gentle slopes going up the southern slope of the plateau.
Reached Casera Brusada the environment changes radically, with the view that opens to the south offering a great views of the Veneto and Friuli plain to see the sea on the horizon. The climb is long but never demanding, continue along this picturesque balcony to the area of ??the Bus Gias, the halfway point of the trail, where a short detour to reach the ravine from the eternal snow.
The last, short ascents anticipate the fast descent through the woods towards Casera Ceresera: here, take the 991 trail, a path characterized by difficult technical passages and some point not cycle, which provides access to the extensive fields near the Col dei Scios.

Returning in the forest, the route tackles the short steep refuge Maset then down towards the pass of La Crosetta; embarked on the road of classical and pleasant Candaglia, the tour ends on the Path of fun Slipari who reports to the Pian Cansiglio.
In the end, a few hundred meters from the end, a detour on foot you can reach the Bus de la Lum (of light), the foiba used by the partisans for the summary executions of German soldiers and the Italian Social Republic during World War II.
