Note:
il sentiero che da Colle Arpilola conduce a Limonetto è un single trac poco curato e con scarse indicazioni (tratto giallo). Alle volte si perde nei gias, ma è facile recuperarlo a vista.
Gita che richiede parecchio portage/spintage
RoadBook:
Si parte dal piazzale Nord di Limone: attraversata la strada seguire le indicazioni per l'agriturismo "Lu Taz" e il sacrario degli alpini (S. Maurizio).
Giunti a Lu Taz proseguire per la carrozzabile sterrata fino al quota 1550m circa dove la strada lascia spazio al sentiero di cresta per il Monte Vecchio (paline indicatrici).
Da qui è un "por pourrì" tra portage, spntage e pedalage... ad ognuno la scelta...
Il sentiero conduce per cresta alla croce del Monte Vecchio (1919m) dal quale si gode di un fantastico panorama a 360° sulle alpi.
Dopo la foto di rito e il panino inizia la discesa verso il colle Arpiola (molto tecnica e mai banale).
Giunti al colle si può optare per la discesa diretta su Limone Piemonte su single track, oppure si punta verso il Bric Castea: il sentiero costeggia il Bric, poi conduce ad una sella erbosa dove una palina indica il sentiero per Limonetto.
Come descritto sopra, il sentiero è poco frequentato per cui la vegetazione tende a ricoprirlo ed è facile scoprirlo mano a mano che lo si affronta. In alcuni prati si perde, ma è facile ritrovarlo "a vista": mettete in conto un bel po' di portage/spintage.
Arrivati alla base del cippo della vecchia croce del Bec Baral, la discesa ricomincia e si tuffa nel vallone che in breve, passando per alcune borgate, vi condurrà a Limonetto dal quale, seguendo le indicazioni "lou Viasol" e "antica strada romana", arriverete dritti dritti a Limone e al parcheggio.

Gita that takes a long portage / spintage

It starts from the square north of Limone: across the road follow the signs to the farm "Lu Taz" and the shrine of the mountain (S. Maurizio).
Joints Lu Taz continue to share the road dirt up to about 1550m where the road gives way to the ridge path for the Monte Vecchio (poles indicator).
From here it is a "por pourri" between portage, and spntage pédalage ... to each choice ...
The trail leads to the ridge the Cross of Monte Vecchio (1919m) from where you can enjoy a fantastic 360-degree panorama of the Alps.
After the usual photos and the sandwich begins the descent towards the hill Arpiola (very technical and never dull) .
reaching the hill you can opt for the direct descent of Limone Piemonte on single track, or head towards the Bric Castea: the path along the Bric, then leads to a grassy saddle where a signpost indicates the path to Limonetto.
As described above, the trail is little used so the vegetation tends to cover it and it is easy to find out As you approach it. In some fields you lose, but it's easy to find him "on sight": put in mind a lot 'of portage / spintage.
Arriving at the base of the memorial stone of the old cross of Bec Baral, the descent starts and plunges into ravine that in short, passing through some villages, will lead to Limonetto from which, following the signs "lou Viasol" and "ancient Roman road," will arrive straight to Limone and the parking lot.
