Ho parcheggiato l'auto al belvedere dopo Perledo, sulla strada per Esino, poi in salita su asfalto sino alla piazzetta del paese e di seguito ho preso la strada mulattiera per Agueglio. Giunti alla chiesetta si riparte su asfalto per circa 2 Km fino al bivio a sx per Cainallo imboccando una sterrata con qualche breve tratto abbastanza ripido. Da Cainallo si seguono sempre le indicazioni del sentiero della biodiversità in direzione Ortanella passando attraverso i bellissimi boschi della conca di Esino, gustando panorami sul paese e sui monti circostanti con qualche scorcio di lago. Arrivati a Ortanella ritorno su asfalto fino in paese e poi in discesa per circa 2 Km fino ad imboccare la vecchia mulattiera a dx che collegava Esino a Perledo e quindi di nuovo al belvedere. L'itinerario è molto bello e non presenta particolari difficoltà tecniche, in alcuni punti in salita sono dovuto scendere di sella a causa del sentiero troppo ripido, ma saranno si e no 4-5 volte e per brevissimi tratti, tutto il resto è tranquillamente pedalabile.
Rimando a un itinerario più completo che partirà da Perledo o da Varenna e comprenderà anche un'appendice dopo Ortanella oltre che la seconda parte della mulattiera Esino Perledo.

I parked the car at the lookout after Perledo on the road to Esino, then uphill on the paved road until the village square and below I took the mule track to Agueglio. Once we leave the church on asphalt for about 2 km until the junction turn left onto a dirt road for Cainallo with some short steep enough. From Cainallo you follow the signs in the direction of the path of biodiversity Ortanella passing through the beautiful woods of the valley of Esino, enjoying views over the village and the surrounding mountains with some glimpses of the lake. Once in Ortanella return on asphalt to the village and then downhill for about 2 km until you reach the old mule track to the right that connected Esino Perledo and then back to the lookout. The route is very nice and not particularly difficult, at some points I had to climb off the bike because of the path too steep, but will be yes and no 4-5 times and for short stretches, everything else is quietly pedaled .
Reference to a more complete itinerary which will start from Perledo or Varenna and will also include an appendix after Ortanella well as the second part of the trail Esino Perledo.
