Da Porta Cartara di Ascoli Piceno si raggiunge il borgo di Castel Trosino dal quale parte la strada frangifuoco per San Giacomo. Ivi giunti continuiamo l’ascesa lungo la Costa del Prevosto fino alle Tre Caciare. Si scende passando dal laghetto e si torna a San Giacomo per deviare a dx sul Monte Giammaturo. Percorsi alcuni metri su sterrata deviamo a sx per il bel sentiero che passa dal Fosso del Grancaso e incrocia più a valle la s.p. Attraversata la strada si entra nel Bosco dell’Impero transitando sul sentiero n.1. Arrivati a Colle San Marco, sempre su sentiero 1, si scende in single track tecnico passando in sequenza per gli abitati Pagliare, Piagge e case Pasqualini. L’avvincente traccia culmina esattamente a Porta Cartara.

From Porta Cartara of Ascoli Piceno we reach the village of Castel Trosino from which part of the road to Saint Jacques firebreaks. Once there we continue the ascent along the Costa del provost at the Three Cheese Factories. We descend from the pond and passing it back to St. James to deflect to the right of Mount Giammaturo. Some meters on dirt paths deviate to the left for the beautiful trail that goes from Fosso del Grancaso and crosses more downstream the sp Across the street you enter in the Woods Empire passing of path 1. Arrived at Colle San Marco, always on the path 1, it comes down to technical single track, passing in sequence to the towns Pagliare, Piagge homes Pasqualini. The compelling track culminates exactly Porta Cartara.
